Endless Summer

G invited me to come to the studio to help him write some new songs.
I gladly obliged because I missed writing with him.
I walked past the receptionist who gave me a sweet smile.
I smiled back, sipping on my frap that I got on the way here.
I opened the door to the studio, seeing Claire and Dusty sitting on one of the couches, Earl (E-40) and Marty by the keyboards and the panels, and G in the recording booth.
He was flipping through a notebook, mumbling to himself.
Claire jumped up, "Hey! Oh my god I missed you,"
I laughed, jumping on her. She let go, letting Earl hug me.
"Hey, Uncle Earl,"
He chuckled, squeezing my shoulder, "My Ken's all grown up n' shit,"
I smiled, setting my purse down on a table, sitting on Marty's lap.
I looked at G through the window, watching his eyebrows furrow together, his eyes focused on the pages and his writing.
I pushed down on the button for the intercom, my voice scaring him from his trance,
"Gerald-"
He jumped, a grin across his face.
G walked into the studio, his arms outstretched.
I giggled as I walked into them, rubbing his back,
"Ready to start writing?"
He smiled, his grills flashing, "Yup,"
We sat down at the table, getting some pens out.
We started talking about what he wanted his new mixtape to be about.
"I want it to be about the Endless Summer,"
I tapped the pen against his notebook,
"Hmm,"
I wrote some lyrics down, the words flowing from my mind to my hands to the paper.
He leaned over, watching me write. I pushed the book towards him, a smile appearing on his face.
He looked into my eyes and whispered it aloud, as if he already memorized it,

"An Endless Summer with you is all I crave. An Endless Love, an Endless High, an Endless Life with you."
