the doctors came back inside and you were behind them with a small smile. then i saw your mom and she was the first to speak,
"hi honey, i am so sorry to hear what happened to you. i hope you feel better."

"thank you." i croaked and did my best fake smile.

"well, we were wondering if you wanted to stay with us until you know your permanent living situation. what do you think?" she gave a warm smile.

i looked over at you and you looked down at your feet with a sad look on your face.

nice try, but you won't fool me this time.

i don't really have much of a choice, unless i want to be in foster care.
"thank you, i would be happy to stay with you." i replied.

"great!" she smiled "we will start moving your stuff into our house."
you both walked out without you looking at me once or saying a word.

"great...." i sighed after everyone left.

this will sure be interesting.
