Mitch

My alarm blares at 6:00 in the morning.

I groan and press the snooze button.

Ok, back to the dream world...

"Mitchie."

I sniffle and bury myself deeper into the covers.

"Mitchie, we have to get up for tour rehearsals."

"Nooo." I whine.

Scott pulls the pillow off of my head. "Get up, for real."

I sit up and wipe the sweat from my forehead.

"You gotta shower, you didn't take one last night. You crashed when we got home."

I nod and get up out of bed.

I start to grab some clothes when I feel like I'm going to fall over.

I grab the dresser and drop to my knees.

"I'll run- Mitch! Are you okay?"

"Uh uh." I mumble.

I get carried back to bed. "Okay, stay here. We aren't going to rehearsals today."

I try to speak but my voice is gone.

Scott puts his hand on my head. "Jesus, Mitch. I'm calling the doctor to come over."

I sink back into the covers and curl up into a ball.

Scott calls some people on the phone while getting me a drink and a washcloth for my forehead.

I pick up my phone and tweet about my sickness, because what else is there to do?

I get tons of replies so I follow some people and cut the TV on.

Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, some murders-

I think I'll stick with SpongeBob.

Scott walks into the room. "The doctor will be here in a few minutes. He had an opening this morning."

I look at the time on my phone.

"Go... Go back... To sleep." I try to get out.

He kisses my forehead. "Not until after the doctor comes."

I cough and feel pain go through my throat and chest.

I close my eyes and lean my head back.

I feel something being sat on my chest.

I open my eyes to see a little dry erase board and marker.

"Use this to communicate."
