That one summer

That day was warm
Like a fire that gives comfort from harm
The summer winds drifted through the open fields
With the cool and fresh feeling it wields

I sat gazing at the children playing under the sun
With their laughter and smiles, I deduce they're having fun
Then I saw you..
Looking at at them too..

Your hair which swiftly flown with the warm breeze
Your red delicate lips which give sweet kiss
Under the daylight you gave your most captivating smile
I, then, noticed myself looking at you for a while

You turned at my place and saw me looking at you
A cold rush of wind suddenly blew
You smiled at me
I was dumbfounded at what I just see

I fixed my eyes on you
Your eyes focused on me too
I noticed from your eyes
Tears that gush forth from your mournful cries
Your longing that never dies

What happened to you my dear?
I hope you don't feel any fear
Tell me you're not in sorrow
So that this uneasiness of mine will soon go

Why do I feel this way?
Why do I want to hear the words you wanted to say?
I wished you're not in disarray
In the bed of roses, I will make you lay

From me, you averted your gaze
Seems like you don't want me to look at your face
Even you look at me no more
I can feel the pain you bore

Your pain was channeled to my soul
The happiness I felt existed no more
I wanted to give you my warmest embrace
So that you wont be lost in your life's maze

I wish I could give you something
To make you happy, I will sacrifice everything
I don't want to see you at your weakest.
I just wanted to see your smile that shone the brightest..
