I cough, sitting up. I can’t see a thing.
“Oh my God.” I whisper “Am I dead?”
I hear a snort
“Urm, no.” Finnick’s voice says
“Then, what?” I ask and I hear a rustle. A bright light flicks on and I can see clearly now that I’m in the Insitute infirmary.
“Oh..” I say, blushing furiously.
“Yeah, the lights were just off. It’s, like, midnight.” Finnick grins
I turn to him and Cinna on two beds opposite me. There’s a sharp pain in my arm.
“Ow. What the…” I look down and see two puncture marks where that girl – Maureen – bit me. The pain is fading so I stand up. I feel a little dizzy and sick but nothing seems really wrong, so I walk over to Cinna and Finnick.
I remember, worryingly, that Maureen is a vampire. And she bit me. So…
“Am I…a vampire?” I burst out, terrified
Cinna smiles
“Izzy said you’d ask that. And no, because you got back here pretty quickly. They managed to fix you up.” He answers
I heave a sigh of relief
“Phew! Well, I’m going to go find Tobias.” I say and turn round to leave. At the last minute, I look back and smile. “I think Katniss and Peeta are happy you’re back.”
Cinna smiles
“I’m happy we’re back too.”
I laugh and head down the corridor, in search of Tobias’s room.
