Dressed to Kill

What happens when you put fools
in charge of schools?

Unable to raise teaching standards
result of insufficient funds, deficiency of good teachers
insistence on pretending all pupils, without exception
are potentially high achievers
principals' focus instead on trying to achieve
excellence in fancy pupils' dress.

Quite apart there being no connection
between academic achievement
and the thrills and frills of visual appearance
grossly overpriced school uniforms are increasingly used
to covertly raise money by soliciting donations
from suppliers granted licenses to sell, at inflated prices
items bearing compulsory sexy school logos.

Fools in charge of schools fuel the inverse correlation
between being dressed to kill and law-abiding students' IQ
more excellence in appearance equates more blind obedience,
criminality declines, but upward pressure on the banality of evil,
imagination accelerating downwardly, disproportionately
preoccupation with college fashion indeed, bad for innovation.
