What Are You So Afraid Of?
Time ticking softly away,
like grains of sand
gently trickling through your fingers,
blown away with the wind and lost,
forever, but what are you so afraid of?
Bang bang, you're dead,
funny how sometimes the people we trust the most
the ones we'd take a bullet for,
are the ones behind the trigger,
and yet, what are you so afraid of?
Such a shame that we all become
such broken and fragile beings,
living in a shell called body,
nothing left within but a dry, loveless space,
and they ask, what are you so afraid of?
You see,
to live is the rarest thing,
most people will exist with no trouble
but living is loving, crying, caring and dying,
it's not being afraid of being afraid,
despite all the thoughts that may haunt you,
scare you,
taunt you,
There is a lot to be afraid of,
a lot to fear,
but having the courage to make a stand will show them,
There is nothing you are afraid of...
