"Oh my god! (Y/N)! I can't believe he finally proposed to you!" Your best friend, Skylar, said excitedly. You sighed, lying on your back on her bed. "It was so romantic. Honestly, I didn't think he had it in him!" You said, still giddy.

"I didn't either!" Skylar squealed. "Wait." She said, cutting you off as you opened your mouth. "Who knows about this?"

"You, and my mom and dad, obviously. Also Kiera. And Lily." You said. Kiera was one of your other friends who had moved away after your seven years at Hogwarts had ended.

"Ooh! Would Kiera come out for the wedding?" Skylar asked. You nodded. "She said she'd come out."

Skylar continued her happy dance around the room as you laughed.

Sirius Black was sitting on James' bed, waiting for him to get out of the shower as he complained. "Sirius, please shut up." Remus grumbled from across the room, as the phone rang. "I'll get it." Remus sighed, walking out the room and down the stairs to answer the phone.

James came out and got dressed as Sirius stared at the roof, not really paying attention until Remus came back up and said, "It was Lily, go get it James." James sighed and went downstairs as Sirius said, "What did she say?"

"Well," Remus said, "You remember (Y/N) from school? She's getting married next month."

Sirius froze, something in him snapping and he stood up, saying, "When did that happen?"

"When did her boyfriend propose? About a day ago." Remus said. Sirius stared at the door, before mumbling, "I have to go."

"Hey, whoa mate, what's up with you?" James asked as he walked back into the room. "Sirius is upset about (Y/N) getting married." Remus said as Sirius pulled on his coat.

"Yeah. Lily mentioned that." James said as Sirius ran down the stairs and out the door.

TIME SKIP - ONE WEEK BEFORE WEDDING

Sirius had finally figured out why (Y/N) getting married bothered him; he loved her, and that bothered him more, because he figured it out six years after he should've. Now he had absolutely no chance - but hadn't Skylar once said, when they were seventeen, that he should be sorry he missed out on being with (Y/N)... so she had liked him at the time.

"Bloody hell." Sirius groaned, leaning into his hands, his elbows on his knees.

Just then, the doorbell rang, and Sirius jumped, getting up and opening it. (Y/N) stood in the entrance, looking tired, stressed and... mature. He hadn't seen her since James and Lily's wedding, and that was three years ago. "Hey!" She said cheerfully, as if she hadn't ruined his life.

"James said I could find you here... Skylar said I should invite you to the wedding." (Y/N) said, fidgeting with her hands, feeling awkward now.

"Yeah, uh, sure..." Sirius mumbled.

"You look tired... Are you okay?" She asked. He had forgotten how caring she was about literally everything.

"Um, yeah, I'm fine." Sirius sighed, running his hands through his hair.

The space between them was becoming unbearable for him, and he knew he would mess up if they both stood that close for much longer. Sirius closed his eyes for a second longer than usual, and (Y/N) licked her lips, and he cracked.

Leaning forwards, Sirius kissed her, unable to stop himself, but she didn't stop him either as their arms wrapped around each other, desperately, as if they were in love, which anyone would think they were from how they were kissing.
