"Diiirk..." Jake groaned, "Hmmhhh."

English lied down, his face suffocated by his pillow as his best friend's name came out of his mouth. He was sweating, he was flustered and really unsure what to think. Jake shoved his bed covers onto the floor with a huff, removing his busy hand from its occupation. He flinched as he heard a knock at his bedroom door.

"Hey, Jake! It's Jade, uh, I don't really don't want to walk in because I'm not sure what you're doing- I mean, ahem, I don't know if you're decent, y'know?" Jade audibly gulped, "I'm taking Bec out to the park, and I'm meeting a friend, too, so see you later!!" Harley was heard running downstairs.

~~

The four of them, Dirk, Roxy, Jane and Aranea all met up after school as planned. They went 'round Jane's for a bit and then decided they would go to the park.

"Come on, Dirk, I mean look what he did to us," Jane said in a soft tone, "Well, me msotly, but you know... OH SHUCKSBUSTER! I left my phone inside, be right back!" Jane screamed, running inside her house.

Dirk turned to Aranea and Roxy. "Sorry, but I really need to talk to Jake." He frowned, beginning to turn. Roxy spoke up.

"Jake hasn't really been our friend from the beginning, but it's your decision. Jane won't be happy." Roxy looked away from Strider with a dissapointed look.

"Tut, tut, Dirk. You're a real 8ad friend." Aranea frowned sarcastically. The tone of her voice suggested she had something bad that would ruin him, him and his squad, yet he couldn't sense it.

The blonde ran, he ran far. He didn't know where Jake's house was from Jane's, which caused him to run to school and go from where he knew then.

Eventually, Jake's front door was right in front of him. Fuck. He dusted himself off with a curse and slowly knocked on the door. Dirk already regretted it and he'd only just done it, fuck, he's not gonna play a game of Ding Dong Ditch. Pah, dong.

~

English acknowledged another knock, yet it was more muffled. The front door. He slowly emerged from his comfortable and warm bed and put on some clothes, but not many; it wouldn't be anyone special. Grandma was out with a friend, Jade was walking the dog. Probably just a parcel being delivered.

Jake looked a mess; his hair was flying all over the place, he looked tired and confused, his shirt was creased and his boxers looked like he hadn't changed them for a couple of days. This wouldn't stop him greeting whoever could be at the door.

Soon, he had managed to get downstairs, seeing an outlined figure at the door. He approached the front entrance and opened it, shocked by who he saw. It was Dirk.

"Oh, uh, h- h- hello, Strider," Jake was blushing, he was embarrassed, "H- how are you?"

Dirk ignored the question. "Look, Jake, I know you told me you didn't want to see me for a bit, but I need to see you," he spoke, "Jake, why are you stuttering and why are you blushing?"

English looked around nervously, he gulped. "No reason, Dirk, and don't worry about it, come in." Jake smiled, moving out of the way for Dirk to step inside.

"I can see you wore your best for me," Dirk snickered, causing Jake's cheeks to go just a shade pinker, "Did I interrupt something?"

"Funny," Jake giggled, "And perhaps you did."

English sat down on the sofa after Dirk entered and closed the door behind him, patting the seat beside him, to which Strider happily sat down there.

"English, I gotta tell you somethin'," he allowed his Texan accent to slip for a moment, "Roxy and Jane are hanging out with Aranea, y'know, Meenah's gay spider friend."

Jake's jaw dropped, almost as if to say "you're fucking kidding me, right?". He then spoke exactly what I just typed.

"Nope, I'm not, sorry man." Dirk looked into his lap, "I'm not happy 'bout it either, but hey, at least they're not plotting revenge, right?"

~~

"Okay ladies, now he's gone, I think it's time to plan revenge on Jake," Aranea snickered, "What've we got in mind?"
