(Lucy's P.O.V)
I turned around and gasped in surprise.

"Gray!" I squeaked and hugged him tightly. "Hey, Lucy." He chuckled and looked down at me. "I didn't know you'd be coming." He said moving my bangs to the side.

I smiled and nodded. "Well I wasn't really planning on coming, but now here I am!" I said.

He smiled and slid his hands inside his pockets. Then I frowned a bit, "If only I knew you'd be here I would've agreed earlier." I said playfully smirking.

Even though I knew he would be here, I didn't want to make it awkward by saying I didn't want to come because of them.

Gray looked at me in surprise. "Oh really?" He asked stepping towards me. I blushed and looked away.

"Did you really not want to come?" He asked. I slowly nodded and chuckled nervously. "Yeah, I was kinda forced by my friend." I said looking around for Levy.

"I should thank them." Gray said and I rolled my eyes. "But why didn't you want to come?"

Oh no.

"I uh, I wasn't in a party mood." I lied... kinda, it was partly true.

"Oh. I see." He mumbled. "Hey, let's go get a drink." He suggested. "Ok!" I smiled and grabbed his arm.

"So what exactly is this charity thing for?" I asked. "Well, different things actually." He said.

"It all depends on how much is earned. We were planning on giving money to some children's hospital, a music company, and for something else.. I don't remember." He shrugged. "Oh well." He sighed and got a bar tenders attention.

While he did that, I looked around the place. Everyone was chatting, laughing, and drinking.

I guess I was looking around for a while, because Gray called me and asked why I wasn't responding for a while.

"Ah, sorry." I laughed nervously. "Are you looking for someone?" He asked giving me my drink. I glanced at him and saw him staring somewhere.

"Uh, no! I just zoned out." I chuckled. He looked back at me and grabbed the back of my neck, this caused me to tense up.

"Gray?" I asked. He stared at me for a while which caused my cheeks to warm up. Before I could speak, a voice popped up.

"Hello Ms. Heartfilia." My eyes widen and I looked at him. The one person I didn't want to see.

"Mr. Dragneel." I responded back and nodded, causing Gray's hand to fall from my neck. "Nice to see you." I forced out a smile.

"Indeed." He said then looked at Gray. "Someone has asked for you. Gajeel Redfox."

When Natsu finished, Gray just walked off without a word. "I'm surprised you came." He finally said after a moment.

"I am too..." I muttered lowly to myself.

"Well," I said louder. "Why wouldn't I join this delightful event?" I said gesturing my hand around the area.

"Your sarcasm makes my heart flutter." He said with a blank expression. "I'm glad." I said winking and blowing him a kiss.
