The walk through the school was traumatic to say the least. I've never felt so many eyes staring at me at once, Chloe guided me through the school and into the girls dorms. A loud silence passed as we walked passed Rachel's room, or, what was her room. The door seemed to be screaming at us, ear piercing, earth shattering screaming.
Chloe threw my bag onto my bed and sat down next to it,
"Welcome back to hell," She smiled sarcastically as I looked around, it's exactly the same as I remembered, rough carpets, white walls and one bricked wall, the only difference? Rachel wasn't here with us. Chloe sighed, "I miss her, Beth," My heart dropped and I quickly sat down next to Chloe and wrapped my arms around her, her familiar scent running back into my memories, "I haven't been here since she left,"
"I know," I said softly, "I miss her too." Chloe had never cried in front of me, or anyone for that matter, so I was taken by surprise when her back began to shake softly as she sniffled, "I'm so sorry,"
"Don't be ridiculous," Chloe quickly replied as she stood up, wiping her cheeks before I could see them damp with tears, "That's the type of thinking that got you stuck in those four walls of fucked up. No way are you slipping back into those thoughts again!"
I nodded and looked down into my palms, she pulled out a joint and lit it up,
"You're going to get us in trouble," I sighed extending my arm, gesturing towards the bud,
"I'm already expelled and your dad paid a shit tonne of money to have you back here. They won't do shit," She smiled handing me the joint. Loud, obnoxious knocks echoed throughout my room, I walked over to the door and swung open to door,
"Oh, for fucks sakes," I groaned, "Hi,"
"You just got back from fuck knows where and you're already getting high! With her?" Victoria groaned gesturing towards Chloe, she laughed. Victoria pushed passed me and walked into my room, "Where have you been? You didn't contact me for six months and you show up like this!"
"I didn't have a phone," I replied, it wasn't entirely a lie,
"Bullshit!" She scoffed, "Who doesn't have a phone these days?" Victoria sat down on my bed and then looked up at Chloe, "What are you even doing here? Leave," Chloe laughed and rolled her eyes,
"Guys, please, just, Victoria please leave. I've had a long day and I'd like to get some rest." She looked up at me a smiled softly,
"Come see me tomorrow. I'll text you," She hugged me for a short second, "I've missed you,"
"I'm phone-less," I laughed as she exited my room. Chloe laughed and threw herself onto my bed,
"Thank God she's gone,"
"She's sweet once you get to know her, Chloe," I huffed and crossed my arms,
"I've known her for two years and she's still a fucking bitch," I rolled my eyes,
"Just help me unpack, okay?"

My eyes stung as I woke up, my room was stuffy and smelt like stale smoke. I stretched out my body but felt stuck when I realised Chloe had draped her entire body over mine, I slowly lifted her limbs off of me and stood up, walked over to the window and opened it. The crisp air hit my warm face and I instantly felt alive,
"What time is it?" Chloe groaned rolling over,
"Uh," I looked down at Chloe's phone, "9:19," I smiled,
"Too fucking early," She mumbled and pulled the covers over her head and fell back asleep. I laughed quietly and sat down on the window sill, students were walking around outside making their way to class, some of them I recognised and others I had never seen before I'm my life. I decided to text Victoria from Chloe's phone,

I hopped down from the window and made my way over to Chloe, who was snoring softly,
"Chlo," I shook her shoulder, she groaned quietly, "I'm going over to Victoria's,"
"Be safe," Chloe mumbled into the pillow. I laughed and threw a jumper on and some jeans and quickly made my way across the hall to Victoria's room,
"Hey," I smiled once I walked in, she was perched at her desk, her room was perfectly cleaned, not a thing out of place,
"How'd you sleep? It's always hard on the first night sleeping somewhere different. I hope you got more sleep than me, I slept a max of 2 hours, I am SO tired." She babbled on,
"Victoria, shut up. You look fine," I huffed and crossed my arms,
"You haven't fucking changed," She rolled her eyes and leaned back into her chair, "Where have you been,Beth? You left without telling me! I even called your fucking dad!"
"After that night, Victoria, I couldn't even look Chloe in the eye," I sighed and sat down on her couch, her room smelt of expensive perfume. "Did you know she's still putting up posters of Rachel?"
"Just let her go, Elizabeth," Victoria rolled her eyes, "She doesn't care for you, I mean, she's still making you feel guilty about what happened," I stood up quickly,
"How do you not feel guilty or at least some bit of remorse for what happened to Rachel, V?"
"I've moved on, you should too," She retaliated, "And besides, it was Nathan's doing, not yours," I sighed and sat down on the couch again, "Now, since your back we have to have a welcoming party! This is going to be SO fucking awesome!"
