Nathan sat at the end of his bed with a box of tissues and wiped the blood off of my face, I could feel his hot breath on the side of my cheek as he slowly patted around my eye. His breath smelt of whiskey and weed, sending me into a light daze,
"Do you want to talk about it?" He asked slowly, almost unsure if that was what he was meant to say in this situation. I shook my head and took a drag of the joint and closed my eyes. His breath was still hot as he began wiping under my nose and slowly down onto my lop lip, "Are you sure because," I opened my eyes and he stopped talking,
"I'm sure," I whispered. He nodded slowly, his eyes darted around my face before I swiftly pressed my lips against his. They were soft and warm and bitter. I backed away, "I'm sorry," Nathan quickly shook his head before he collided our lips back together, his mouth moulding with mine as he sat next to me, his hand grazed across my thigh and we pressed harder into each other. Hot tears began to run down my cheeks, he pulled away slowly and cupped my cheek, his eyes glazing across mine. My bottom lip trembled as sobs slowly over came my body and I began shaking, he pulled me into his body and started to draw circles onto my back as I cried into his jacket.
"Do you want a drink?" He whispered into my neck, I laughed in between sobs at his attempt to me comforting and nodded my head. He slowly backed away from me and I wiped my tears off my cheeks while he grabbed the bottle of brown liquor and handed it to me before sitting back down at the end of his bed. I rested my elbows on my knees while I took large sips of the bitter drink,
"He said that Rachel left because of me," I mumbled, Nathan placed his cold hand on my back, my hands began to shake as I handed him the bottle. My throat grew tight and I began to feel hot tears stream over my bruises again. They began to fall across my lips and the tangy taste of blood was mixed into my mouth.
"I'm sorry," Nathan whispered, I looked up at him and shook my head and opened my mouth to disagree, "No, don't say that I can't be. I got you into this shit. If, if you never even met me you would be so happy," He began to rant,
"Don't say that," I said,
"It's true, Elizabeth,"
"No. Don't say it. Don't even think it, Nathan," I paused as I wiped my tears and sat up straight, "Pass me a joint," He agreed and handed me the rolled paper before lighting it. We sat there in silence, swapping the bottle and joints between us. The quiet noise of the winds outside being the only thing we heard before we fell sleep on his bed.

Nathan's alarm woke me up in the morning, I slowly sat up as the morning light crept in and illuminated his room. He was passed out, sprawled across the bed, his eyes softly shut and his lips parted. I shook his shoulder and told him to wake up, he groaned loudly,
"Fuck. Off,"
"You're an absolute delight in the morning," I smiled sarcastically as I stood up, trying to ignore the pounding in my head and stinging across my face, "I'll see you later," I sighed as I walked out of his room, he gave me a tired wave before falling back asleep. I quickly made my way out of the dorms, thankfully I woke up before the morning rush and no one had seen me manage to sneak out. I rushed into my room and closed the door behind me, I quickly grabbed a change of clothes and made my way to the shower. I washed the smell of marijuana and smoke out of my hair and the excess blood off of my face before I turned the hot water off and stepped out into the bathroom. I was shocked when I took a look at my reflection in the mirror, my dark green eyes were over taken by a red haze, my right eye covered in a dark purple bruise making its way down my nose and seeping onto the left side of my face, I slowly raised my fingers to touch it but winced in pain when they brushed the skin. I left the bathroom before I could pity myself any further and made my way back to my room before packing my bag and leaving to go to class.

Bruises won't cover Rachel's body.
