Nathan and I sat together in silence. I was speechless, I felt nauseous and I was angry. My hands clenched around my knees as I inhaled a shaken breath,
"You mean you?" I didn't dare to finish the sentence,
"No. Jefferson did," He whispered, I let out an angry breath of air I didn't even know I was holding in, "He just made me bring her to him,"
"Oh my god," I gasped, "Nathan. You have to tell someone. Your dad? The police?" I started rambling,
"No!" He shouted, I looked over to him, "They'll connect me to him. Then, Rachel to me. And then, me to you," He paused, "You are not ending up in a cage again!"
"What if it happens again?" I shouted, "What if it's another innocent girl?"
"I'll just,"He sighed angrily running his hands through his messy hair, "I'll talk to Jefferson okay? Maybe he'll stop. Maybe he'll let me out," I nodded softly, my hands still tight from anger. Nathan's hand slowly wrapped around mine, his hands were cold and sweaty, "I shouldn't get you caught in this," He said scooting towards me, "Forget I said anything, okay?" I nodded softly. I was going to remember every goddamn word from this conversation.

I stayed with Nathan for a few hours before making my way back to the dorms. The walk was quiet, even the crickets weren't chirping as I walked across the lawn, Kate's shrine was glowing. The dorms were silent, not even the sound of a door closing was heard. It was eerie. Max's door had a soft light shining out underneath it so I slowly knocked, hoping I didn't disturb her. She opened it slowly, her eyes were red and her she was constantly sniffing, she then invited me in,
"Are you okay?" I asked, she sat down on her couch and I followed her. Max shrugged before speaking,
"I'm just," She paused, "Angry," I nodded in agreement, "They're going to get away with this. It's not fair!" She began to sob lightly, I scooted closer to her and rubbed my hand along her back,
"Who is?"
"Nathan and Victoria," She sniffed, "They made her do this,"
"They didn't make her do anything, Max," I defended them, "Victoria did a pretty shitty thing, but I can assure you she didn't mean for this to go to this extent," I explained, Max nodded, "Kate made a tragic decision."
"I couldn't even save her," Max's sobs became louder as she fell into my shirt and began to cry into it. I sat there in shock for a few moments because I wrapped my arm around her body and began to comfort her. I sat with her until her cries became quieter and the tears on my shirt dried. Max had stopped crying and fallen into a soft sleep as I left her dorm and sleepily made my way into my own. My room was dark and I didn't bother to switch my light on as I threw my bag onto the end of my bed and collapsed onto it.
"Elizabeth," I let out a quiet scream before quickly sitting up and turning on my lamp,
"What are you doing here?" I scoffed,
"I'm here to talk to you," Chloe sighed, she sat down on my couch,
"You need to leave,"
"No!" She almost shouted, "He's going to hurt you," I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked at her, "Nathan, he's going to hurt you, Elizabeth. He hurt Kate. He'll hurt you," I started to laugh softly,
"Get the fuck out, Chloe," I said as I pointed towards the door,
"Can you listen to me just this once?" She pleaded,
"You know shit all about what's going on around here. Just leave," I sighed,
"I know that he drugged me," My stomach dropped, my eyes began to sting as I held back tears,
"I'm sorry, Chloe, just go," She finally gave up in protesting and left my dorm peacefully, I huffed and sat down on my bed. My hands began to shake, I wanted to scream, I wanted to hold Nathan against a wall and repeatedly shake him until he gave me some answers. Jefferson had made him do this & he was going to pay.

I hope the memory of what happened to Rachel stays with you forever.

My head was pounding. I was lost, I wanted to believe that Nathan wouldn't do something like that again. He had fucked up the first time, what made him think he could do it successfully the second? My body shivered as I thought about that phone call, his voice was cracking, rushed and silent,
"I've fucked up," He stuttered,
"Nathan, what happened?" I rushed out,
"It's Rachel," He paused, my stomach dropped to my knees, "I killed her."
He told me to meet him in the junk yard. I was confused but I quickly made my way there. He was leaning over her body, blood was seeping out of her mouth, he looked up at me, his eyes were bloodshot and his hands were shaking as he let go of her arm,
"Help me," He whispered, I began to sob,
"What have you done?" I choked out, I quickly fell to my knees next to her body and touched her face, her skin was cold, lifeless and empty. "What have you done!" I shouted as I leant over her body and pushed him over, "What did you do to her?" Tears streamed down my face, it became difficult to make out her once beautiful features. My hand gently stroked her face, removing her hair from her cheeks, her cold blood stuck to my hand and her lips parted gently as I ran my fingers along them.
"I'm sorry," Nathan whispered, I looked up at him and wiped my tears, smearing blood across my face, "Help me," I nodded slowly as I took one last look at her body. Nathan began digging a hole behind us. I was furious, she deserved so much more than a fucking hole in the middle of a junk yard. I helped Nathan place her frail body into the hole, he placed a large plastic bag over her as I stood back and watched him slowly cover her in dirt, she disappeared before my eyes, the hole slowly returning to normal. He drove us back to Blackwell, no one spoke for the whole drive back until we pulled up into the parking lot, "I didn't mean to do it," He whispered, I sat there in silence, "It was an accident." I opened the door and stepped out of his car, "I'm sorry."
