"What?" I shook out, my throat grew right, I drew in a shaken breath as I slowly sat down on his bed,
"I almost killed her," He whispered, my hands began to shake,
"Nathan," I whispered, he turned around and looked at me, the scratches on his face were slowly dripping with blood, I quickly stood up and sat him down on the bed, his body was limp as I looked for a box of tissues to clean his wounds with. I finally found some a made my way back over to him, "You're always getting yourself hurt,"
"Says the one with the black eye and bruised knuckles," He remarked, I rolled my eyes,
"You didn't have to do it," I sighed as I wiped the tissue across his cheek,
"I did it for you," He said,
"Doesn't mean you should have done it. You're lucky the alarm went off,"
"That bitch, Max Caulfield," He spat out, "She's always fucking around with her vintage camera. She told Principal Wells that I had a gun," He was getting angry, I threw the tissues in the bin and sat down next to him,
"You did,"
"She just can't keep her fucking mouth shut! Like he's going to believe a hipster over a Prescott, anyway," I slowly placed my hand on his in an attempt to calm him down. His hands were cold but damp with sweat,
"Nathan," I sighed, "If you killed Chloe, you wouldn't be here. You'd be in a cell," He laughed loudly,
"Bullshit. My father wouldn't stand it, he wouldn't pay them," I sighed and put my head in my hands,
"Just think about consequences next time, Nathan." His soft fingers brushed my chin as he lifted it, his eyes were red from hot tears and his lips were soft as he pressed them against mine. I felt him smile into the kiss once I pressed harder into him, his hand moved along my waist and he swiftly flipped me onto my back. His legs fit between mine and his hand held my wrist above my head while his other hand skimmed alone my waist and hips, making me shiver slightly, my hand slid up his neck and through his hair and pulled him harder into the kiss. His lips slowly moved off and down my neck sucking on the tender skin, making me moan lightly before he came back up onto my lips. Minutes turned into hours and soon my head was resting on his bare chest as I intertwined my fingers with his,
"That action had good consequences," He laughed lightly, I laughed with him before playfully hitting his chest as we drifted into a soft slumber.

My phone ringing obnoxiously snapped me out of my sleep, I slowly slid the covers off my body before putting a t shirt on and walking over to my phone.

I didn't know you knew Chloe.
                 9:34 am
I could say the same to you, Caulfield.
I'm sorry for what Nathan did.
                 9:36 am
You can stand up for him you know.
                 9:37 am
I can't. He's an asshole sometimes. Yesterday included.
I hope you're okay.
                 9:39 am
Sometimes? All the time.
You too. ^_^

Nathan quietly groaned in his sleep as he rolled over and patted the empty side of the bed absently, he quickly sat up, looked around and fell back onto his pillow once he saw me sitting on his couch, I smiled and crawled back into bed with him.
"I have class today," I mumbled into his chest,
"No you don't," He mumbled, his breath landing in my hair,
"Yes, I do," I argued, his grip on my back tightened as he breathed in,
"Stay, please." His arms were soft while his fingers were rough and calloused, almost like he had been playing guitar since he was 7 years old. He traced circles absentmindedly around my arms before the turned into slow, uncoordinated movements as he drifted into sleep. My eyes stayed open, unable to fall asleep again. I was shocked at Nathan's actions, was he really going to kill Chloe for what she had done to me?

It wasn't long before my phone began ringing again, I was thankful for the new sound, the constant bird chips and distant chatter was getting on my nerves,
"For fucks sakes, Elizabeth," Nathan mumbled as I got out of bed again and walked over to my phone, angrily picking it up,
"What?" I almost shouted into the speaker,
"Good morning, Elizabeth," Frank laughed,
"You fucking woke me up, you asshole," I groaned and sunk myself into Nathan's couch,
"Send my apologies to you and your boyfriend,"
"He's not," Frank interrupted me,
"I just saw Chloe and one of her little friends down at the junk yard waving a gun around," I let out a light laugh,
"Is that so? And why were you there?" He scoffed,
"I'm a drug dealer, I'm allowed to be there," He argued, "She fucking tried to shoot me,"
"Who? Chloe?" I asked,
"No, the fucking other one. Max or some shit," His words were rushed,
"Wait, are you serious?" I asked, sitting up straight,
"She pointed the gun straight at me and pulled the trigger, no bullet came out because the little shits had wasted them all shooting bottles," He explained,
"What an eventful morning," I scoffed before telling Frank I would call him back later. I placed my phone onto the couch and turned it off completely before walking back to the bed. Nathan was lying on his back, staring up at the ceiling, the scratch marks on his face were deep and red, painful looking.
"Was he trying to sell to you?" Nathan asked, I rolled my eyes,
"Max tried to shoot him," I explained, Nathan looked over at me, "She had a gun," He scoffed,
"She probably doesn't even know how to fire a water pistol let alone a gun with bullets, Elizabeth."
