When I finished telling him what happened, he sighed and rested his head on the wall

"This is nobody's fault except for that person who wore a fox mask and stabbed Cris. But, where were you when he got stabbed Dan?" Alessandro looked at Dan suspiciously

"I was knocked unconscious Alessandro. Do you expect me to wake up quickly?" Dan glared

I looked at both of them and Dan raised an eyebrow

"I was literally brought to the hospital. What? Do you also think I hit myself with a bat or these stitches are fake? That's stupid"

Alessandro

I shook my head and stood up

"Text me when he wakes up" I said while walking towards the exit.

Are they stupid? Why in the first place, would they make a prank? Do they really have to be immature? Scratch what I said earlier about the incident not being their fault. This is probably their fault or whoever thought of the prank. If the prank didn't happen, we won't be here right now, waiting for Cris to wake up or heal.

The only thing that is bothering me is, how on Earth did that person know that they were planning a prank?

I can't help but suspect one of them to be the suspect.

I called one of the detectives to talk about who might be the suspect.

This will be a long night for me.

"Hello I am nurse Amanda. Mr. Rivers is now awake. Please know that it can only be one at a time. Who would like to go first?" A woman wearing a scrub walked towards us.

"I'll go first" Antonio stood up and followed the nurse to Cris' room.

God I hope he's okay

An hour has passed and I'm the only one left who hasn't talked to Cris. Alessandro went after Antonio when he got back from who knows what.

Nina exited the room and sat beside me

"You're next" she sighed and rubbed circles on my back

"O-okay" I mumbled and stood up.

I exhaled before entering the room. As I open the door, Cris looked at me and waved

"There you are! I thought you wouldn't show up" he chuckled and I let out a shaky breath as I sat on the chair beside him

"I'm sorry..." I mumbled while looking down at my fingers

"Hey! Don't be sorry! It's not your fault. Don't feel bad" Cris rested his hand on top of my shoulder. I looked at him and nodded

"I could've stopped that person from stabbing you" I furrowed my eyebrows and he shook his head

"What happened happened okay Scar? Don't torture yourself for something you didn't do"

Don't torture yourself from something you didn't do...

I'm sorry but I couldn't help but hurt myself because I deserve it

"Okay" I faked a smile

"So how are you feeling? Besides your um yeah" I blushed, embarrassed because I asked a question that has a pretty obvious answer

"I'm good" he chuckled while looking at the show on the tv.

"They have crappy tv shows and movies but they do have good food" I pats his stomach

"Just like Antonio" I shook my head while laughing

"Antonio told me that it's probably you who stabbed me"

"I didn't stab you though" I frowned

"I know you didn't Scar. I believe you. I was there and he wasn't. He didn't see you stab me."

"He hates me"

"Antonio never hates. He just cares for the people close to him"

"God. I hope he doesn't hate me" I scratched the back of my neck. Cris just smiled and closed his eyes

"Well I better rest and tell everyone to go home. I appreciate your visit Scar."

"Okay Cris. Goodbye" I smiled and carefully hugged him

"Have a safe trip home" I waved goodbye at him and left.

Alessandro drove his car with Dan and Antonio while Nina and I drove my car.

On our way home, we decided to talk about what happened to Cris

"I don't think Dan stabbed Cris" I said while furrowing my eyebrows as I drive

"Let's just hope that they find who the suspect is" she replied and I nodded in agreement.

"Let's listen to some music" I turned the radio on and glory and gore by Lorde started to play

"Mmm this song is chill" Nina closed her eyes. I chuckled and on the corner of my eye, I caught a glimpse of a person wearing a fox mask. I gasped and my body started to shake.

"Scarlett? Are you okay? What's wrong?" She placed her hand on top of my shoulder and I shook my head while speeding up

"I-I saw someone wearing the exact mask that the person who stabbed Cris wore" My phone vibrated and I answered the call

"H-hello?" I said while I continue to drive home

"Scarlett" Alessandro replied and I frowned

Why did he call?

"Uh yes? Why did you call? Is something wrong?"

"The house. Everything is messed up" my eyes widens and I speeded up a bit more, eager to go home

"I'm almost home" I ended the call. I then see the house and the gates opened. I drove inside and parked the car then Nina and I stepped out of the car and rushed inside the house.

My jaw dropped at what's in front of me. Alessandro is right. Everything is messed up... the couch is cut open. The books are everywhere. The tv has a hole. The kitchen drawers are open and whatever's inside is thrown everywhere.

Alessandro appeared in front of us with Antonio and Dan

"Who ever did this left a note" he handed me the note and I looked at it

You all are going to loose everything. Specially you Scarlett

I dropped the note with trembling fingers.
