"Alessandro, get your ass down here. You have a... special guest" I hear Nina yell from downstairs
I groaned and began to walk to the living room to greet whoever this "special guest" is
"Good evening. We-" I paused and looked at the guest with shock

"Claire?" I cleared my throat and walked towards her direction "What are you doing here?"
"Emilio and I got into a fight... I-I don't know where to go," I continue to look at her, confused about what's happening "I don't even know why I came here... You probably hate me. I'm sorry for wasting your time" She turned around and I grabbed her wrist, making her face me
"Stay. I'll prepare a guest room for you" I led her to the living room and she sat down. "What happened, Claire?"
"Emilio was angry about something and I tried to calm him down but he lashed out on me" She frowned, trying not to cry
What Claire said reminded me of what I did to Scarlett
Oh, Scarlett... How I miss that woman's touch. I just wish that she was here with me but that's too much to ask
"Alessandro? Are you listening?"
"Oh... yeah."
"No, you weren't. What are you thinking about anyway?"
"Let's not talk about me. "
"Come on, I need a distraction" I sigh and began to fiddle with my fingers
"I'm not thinking about something. I'm thinking about someone special to me," I looked at Claire and she blushed but as soon as I said her name, she frowned "Scarlett"
"She's really special to you huh?"
I nod in agreement, "I don't know what I'll do without her. Her absence makes me upset which is weird because I was never like this. Her showing up made a huge impact on my life."
"Wow... She must be really really special then... More special than I was to you"
"Claire, you are special to me but everything changed. I changed. I fell in love with someone who I can actually see a future with. Someone I never thought I would fall in love with. Someone who gave me hope. Scarlett"
"So you no longer love me then?"
"Of course I love you"
"You don't love me more than you love Scarlett" (a/n: This bitch)
"My love for you is like a friend Claire. I love you as a friend"
"Can you show me to my room? I'm tired" Claire mumbled. I sighed and nodded, leading her to the guest room.

*knock knock*
"Come in" I groan and sat up, turning on my table lamp
"Alessandro?"
"Yes, Claire?"
"C-can I stay here? I don't want to be alone tonight"
"I'll take the floor"
"I was wondering if you can lay with me... We can put a pillow in between us"

I moved and she lay down beside me
