Birthday girl

Ryan's POV

Not much was spoken after that, we went about our day rather quietly, I know she was still quite upset which is why I'm hoping today will smooth things over

She was still asleep when I woke up which was good, I had a lot to do, I cooked breakfast, her favourite of course, I set it up all fancy like on the plate with a couple of roses for good measure, I make her a coffee, but decaffe because it's too early in the morning for caffeinated Chloe, then I take it in to her

She must've heard me come in because her eyes flutter open and she smiles at em in the most adorable way ever

"Happy 20th birthday princess" I tell her gently as she's still waking up

"Thank you" she whispers sleepily, having only just woken up

"I've got a nice day planned hopefully" I smile as she yawns cutely, god everything this girl does is adorable

"I'm sure whatever we do will be amazing" she says as she rubs her eyes

"First I've got a present for you" I tell her and she smiles

"I've already had the best presents you could give me" she reminds me and we're just sat her smiling at each other like a pair of goofy idiots

"But it's something you're gonna need for tonight" I tell her, now she looks at me in confusion

"Come with me?" I ask her and she nods in agreement

We leave the room and she finds before her a dress

"It's beautiful" she whispers in shock

"And you'll want this too" I hand her the box with contains a necklace and earrings to go with them

She opens them and her face lights up, I love seeing her this happy

"I don't deserve all this" she says and I shake my head at how wrong she is

"You deserve the world baby" I tell her and she sighs before smiling

"I love you" she tells me and leans in I kiss her gently and the reply

"I love you too"

Chloe's POV

We went to the park again which has kinda become our place I guess, he played a song he wrote for me, it was magical

We sat in a snuggle and watched my favourite movies all day and then he told me to get dressed

I put on my new dress and the new jewellery and out we went, he took me out to a really fancy restaurant and it was amazing, it felt like falling in love with him all over again

We started talking about the wedding which is really exciting for me, I was kinda one of those girls who's been dreaming about her wedding her entire life, I already planned a bunch of what I wanted throughout my life which made him laugh when I had so many ideas

He says it'll be my day to do with as I wish but he will step in if I need him to which was so sweet, god I'm so happy with him

Now we're on our way back to the apartment

Ryan's POV

As we arrive back at the apartment I make sure she's in front of me, here's hoping this works

She opens the door and turns on the lights and suddenly

"SURPRISE!" Everyone yells as they jump out from their hiding places

Chloe, clearly shocked significantly, stumbles back and trips into my lap, I catch her and wrap my arms around her

"Happy birthday" I whisper

"Wait what? But.....but....." she stumbles over her words

"I know you said you didn't want a party but I was kinda sorta hoping you'd indulge me? It's not every day that your fiancée turns 20 now is it?" I remind her with my fingers crossed for a good response

"Thank you!" She squeals, she leaps off my lap and bounds into the middle of the party, which was now getting into full swing, rather excitedly

I spent the night watching her have a great time and I was really happy that she was so happy, everything was turning out how I wanted, I am so glad that I had today, that she had today, we both needed it desperately

Chloe's POV

At the end of the night once everyone had gone home I went and got changed into some nice fluffy pyjamas cuz I was really cold, it was only 10 but I was exhausted, Ryan came in as I was snuggling under the covers

"Bed already?" He asks me with a soft chuckle, I nodded wearily in response

"If you can wait 5 minutes for me to get ready I'll join you, I'm absolutely shattered" he explained and I nodded

I waited for about five minutes but found myself having difficulty keeping my eyes open, I was trying so hard to stay awake but then that was it, I was out of it

Ryan's POV

I come back in to mind her crashed out completely, I smile and head around to my side of the bed, as carefully as I can I get into bed, trying not to wake her up, and then I wrap my arms around her, she subconsciously snuggles deeper into me and I tighten my grip around her, she says that makes her feel safer and more protected so I do my best, I'm kinda useless now but she still seems to junk I'm not so I just go with it, if it helps her sleep at night then that's great, but to be honest I think we both just like to snuggle
