What to say and what not to say

YES:

- I love you (Only if you mean it)
- I care
- You're not alone in this
- Im not going to leave you
- Do you want a hug ?
- Im sorry you're in pain
- You are important to me
- You are not going crazy
- You are not crazy
- When these feelings subside i'll still be here and so will you
- I can't understand what you're feeling but i can offer my compassion

NO:

-Life isn't fair/ No one said life was fair
- They're a lot of people who have it worse than you
-Everyone gets depressed sometimes
-You need a hobby/distraction
- Just pull yourself together
-Just try a little harder
- You have no reason to feel this way
- You have it so good, why aren't you happy?
- I thought you were stronger than this
- Snap out of it
- Maybe take some vitamins for your stress
- Stop feelings sorry for yourself
- Aren't you always like this?
- Its your own fault
- I know how you feel, i was depressed for like week after my dog died
- I feel worse

- Your moods bringing everyone down
- If you go out and socialize it will go away
