I popped my headphones in as I locked my apartment door and headed to the bakery, earlier than usual.

I wrapped my coat tighter around myself to fight off the cold air that was penetrating my clothes and making my whole body quiver.

I looked around at all the shops that had become so familiar to me.

as I was walking my eyes got caught by something in the distance and I ran into someone's chest.

I backed away quickly and tried to hide the blush that had formed on my cheeks with my hands as I met eyes with the stranger.

as soon as I looked into the strangers eyes I felt nervous.

of course it had to be the handsome man who was in the shop yesterday.

after we both stood there awkwardly blushing for what felt like 10 years, I muttered a muffled sorry and goodbye and ran off as fast as I could in the direction of the bakery.

for the whole rest of the day I couldn't get the stranger out of my head. his beautiful face. his warm eyes. his soft lips.

little did I know that the stranger was thinking the same thing.
