Chapter 31.1: Start Of Something New.

(*) Aria's Point Of view (*) – 20th January 2036.

Never once in a million years thought that I would end up like this, I didn't think I would end up having the life that I did and do what I have done in this lifetime.

Leaning back from my desk, I sigh in frustration and drop my head to the floor for the millionth time today as I try and rack my brains for something to write in my speech, anything but no I cannot do it. After years and years of knowing Joey, in fact after about eleven years of knowing Joey, I still cannot think of anything to write in the speech.

The speech that will determine if he accepts my offer or not, the speech that will be the end all of the bee all or whatever that saying is. My brain is on overload at the moment that I cannot remember how to spell my own name.

"Aria, I need your help for a minute please. Come down here!" My Mother screams for me, from downstairs, interrupting my train of thought and I swear under my breathe, picking up the paper and making it into a small ball before I throw it into the bin in frustration. That's the third one that I have had to throw away today as I haven't liked the words that I have put down.

"Yea, give me a second." I scream back to my Mom.

Geez this is so confusing; I wish I could put it into words what I am feeling but I cannot. Getting up from the chair. I grab my hoodie and throw it over my head and make my way out of the room, down the stairs. But before I do that, I grab my camera and switch it on, carrying it downstairs as I talk to it. Heading into the kitchen, not bothering to pay attention to my sibling who are arguing over something silly in the lounge as I make my way into the kitchen to where my Mom is currently cooking food, well cutting chicken up. Let me just point out before I start that they haven't spoken to me still despite myself being patient.

"Yea Mom? I question her, plopping down on the chair next to island, my eyes drifting to the magazines on the counter top. I place my camera in a position that gets both I and my Mom into it. The magazine has many familiar faces on them, well the magazine has photos of my sibling on. Picking up the magazine from the counter, I flick through the pages as I wait for my Mother to reply.

"Can you please help me do the fajitas please. The peppers and the onions are in the bottom of the fridge. You know what to do with them as you know that I can't cut up the onions as they kill me." She replies back to me, motioning to the fridge with her head. I just let out a little chuckle and she gives me a warning look before she goes back to cutting up the chicken.

"Oh but I can cut the onions up can't I?" I mimic my Mother and she nods her head at me, giggling as she returns to cutting up the rest of the chicken. I nod my head, lumping my body towards the fridge. Grabbing the camera and positioning it into another position so it can get this angel. Filming is hard you know.

"Yes you can do Aria, don't be annoying. You know you love me." She states and I let out a sigh as I open the fridge; loading up my arms with onions and peppers before I make my way back over to my Mother. Dumping all the onions and the peppers next to her then I grab the knife from the knife set by my Mother and the other utensils that I need, I start to cut up the peppers first. Leaving the horrible things to last which is the onions if you didn't know yet.

For the next ten to fifteen minutes, my Mom and I stand in silence and cut up the ingredients. Once we have completed our task, I go over to the hob and light up the flame, once the flame is ready to rumble, I grab the oil and dump it into the pan. I dump the ingredients into the pan and watch it cook.
