“You mean he kissed you? Like, on the lips?” Michaela and I were at Starbucks after school that day. I was just telling her about the incident with Antanie earlier.

                “No, on the cheek.”

                “Aww, how cute!”

“Nooooo, how not cute.” I corrected. “That’s about as far from cute as you can get. He humiliated me, made me look stupid, got me in trouble, and pissed me off right before kissing me. What the hell?”

“Wassup guys?” Haley slid in the seat next to Michaela.

“Elissa’s gettin’ the D!” Michaela announced.

“Ooohhh, who’s the lucky guy?” Haley asked eagerly.

Before I had time to intervene, Michaela answered “Antanie Copeland!”

Haley scrunched up her face in disgust. “Ewwww, the fuck?? Who are you and what have you done with smart, sensible, sane Elissa?”

“I am not getting the D first of all, nor do I want it! I don’t even like him.” I added.

“But he likes you!” Michaela contributed.

“I really doubt that. I’ve been nothing but a bitch to him. I mean he deserves it, but still.”

“Elissa he kissed you! I don’t think he was just messing with you.”

“Wait he kissed you?” Haley stared at me. I sighed.

“He kissed me on the cheek randomly in 6th period today. After pissing me off and embarrassing me in front of everyone.”

“Awe Elissa, you are so getting laid!”

“What makes you think I want anything to do with his rat face?”

Michaela and Haley were just laughing. I sighed. “Well I gotta go guys, I have a lot of homework and I’m tired. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

                “Bye!”
