Chapter 9. The Griffon Devil Fruit

[just saying that the devil fruit does not go to Alex]

(Alexander POV)

I was riding Jaws & he was making his way towards the Gray Terminal, its been awhile since Sabo's... death, & I slightly moved on. He kinda reminded me of Sam a little bit, it didn't take long for Jaws to make it to the Terminal so he waited outside it while I jumped off & walked towards it

I walk around for awhile not finding anything interesting until I saw a couple guys carrying a rather large chest, I back up a bit & they were ambushed by a couple people, meaning they had dropped the chest. They started fighting over the blasted thing so I got up & ran towards it, I picked it up before running away

"Hey! That brat is making off with the chest!"

"Get him!" I quicken my pace & easily lost them by jumping over piles of trash, I made it to the outside of the Terminal & smirked when I saw Jaws, that was when someone grabbed my shoulder & turned me around

"Where do you think your going?"

"Places!"

"Hand it over kid, or else."

"Or else what?"

"You'll have a bad time!" I hmph & snap my fingers, he smirks & just when he was going to grab the chest Jaws shows up behind me, him & his followers drop what they had & started to tremble

"What are you going to do now?" I snap my fingers again & Jaws let out a roar, they scream in terror before running back into the Terminal, I laugh to myself. I look at the stuff they dropped & huffed, it wasn't anything so the thing I took was a nice looking dagger. I start walking away from the Gray Terminal while trying to open the thing & just when I busted the lock, I stop walking

In the chest was a butt load money & gold, a book & a weird shaped fruit. It didn't take long for me to realize that it was a devil fruit, I hum in amusement before throwing it up & down like a ball. I looked at the book & saw the book was about Devil Fruits, I started reading it a bit while still throwing the devil fruit until when I threw it up one last time, it didn't land in my hand

"What the--" I cut myself off when I saw Jaws was chewing something "Don't you dare tell me that you ate it Jaws?!" he cowers a little "You did?! Oh my lord!" right now I was on his back again while reading the book & it looked like Jaws was struggling to walk "Jaws? Are you oka--" I cut myself off when Jaws disappeared out of nowhere, I started falling until someone caught

"U-Uh Boss?" I look at whoever caught me & my eyes widened, he was naked

"AH!!! NAKED STRANGER!!"

"B-Boss its me... Jaws?" I started to calm down

"Jaws? The hell happened?" he only shrugged, I open the book again & flipped through it & found the Devil Fruit he ate "The Griffon Griffon fruit, gives the user three forms. If a animal or object has eaten it it can turn into a human hybrid of what it once was, so if a lion ate it it would have a body of a human & wings of a griffon. Their other hybrid form would be their original body but with wings of a griffon & their final form would be a giant griffon. Nice one bud."

"Thank you Boss, but can I change my name?"

"Hmm, sure. I don't want to be calling you Jaws in your human form, that'll be weird. How about I call you... Sly?"

"I like that name, sounds better than Jaws."

"Well excuse me, you were a wolf when I named you that. Now, but me done cause I feel so uncomfortable with you naked & holding me." he nods & puts me down, I tell him to go to the gave while I try to look for some clothes for him, he nods again before going off. I found some clothes & made my way back to the gave, while avoiding those men of course, I am not bothered fighting them

I found my way back to the gave & saw that he was trying to fly but crashed onto the ground, when he noticed me he blushed in embarrassment but I shrugged it off & laughed. I gave him the clothes & I turned away cause I didn't want to see him get changed, I was still a kid while he looked like an adult

"I think I'm changed Boss." I turn around & grin in approval 

"I approve." 

"WHATS WITH THAT FACE?!"

(Time Skip)

"Imagine it like your riding a bike, & right now you have the training wheels on okay, & I don't think they'll be coming off very soon." I was trying to teach Sly how to fly, even though I don't know how to fly either, but I was trying to help, trying "You'll never get there."

"Its because your a horrible teacher, Boss!" I chuckle

"Its not like I'm telling you to fly off a cliff." that's when I got an idea

"No way! I know that face so no way!" that when Ace & Luffy popped out of nowhere

"Who's the new guy?"

"& why does he have wings~?! Can he fly?"

"Barely, & this is Jaws, now known as Sly. He ate a Devil fruit early today so he can turn into a griffon so I'm kinda trying to teach him how to fly."

"Trying?" I nod "I might as well help, why not you too Luffy?"

"YEAH!!" I look over at Sly & see he was trying to get away

"Someone help me..."
