I sigh and set down my phone.
"What's wrong?" Lucas asks. We are at his house, sitting on his couch.
"It Amy." I shook my head
"Aren't you two best friends. " Lucas puts his arm around me.
"Ya, she's just been getting on my nerves lately." I'm still very pissed she told nick about my depression, but I havnt brought it up to her.
"I'm jealous of her." Lucas sniffed.
"Why is that?" I craned face to him.
"Cause your going shopping tomorrow. Without me" Lucas fake cried.
"You read my text?"
"You are right next to me." He laughed
"Shut up." I hit his arm.
"Meanie"
"Jerk"
"Bully"
"Bill nye."
"I don't understand you sometimes."
"That's why you love me." I snuggled closer to Lucas.
"You two are so adorable. I can't handle it." Hailey squealed behind us.
"She is adorable, isn't she?" Lucas kissed my forehead.
"Oh my god" Hailey started fake hyperventilating
Me and Lucas laughed.
"Hail's, is mom still at the store?" Lucas asked Hailey.
"Yes. Dad will be back in like an hour or so from the auto."
"K" Lucas shrugged.
"Why?" Hailey sat on a recliner in front of us.
"I want them to meet Claire extrordinare. " Lucas waved his hand in front of me as I'd I was a product on a commercial.
"No, you don't have to do that Lucas." I disagreed.
"Yes I do. They need to meet the girl I love oh so very much."
I blushed
"And my best friend!!" Hailey added
About an hour later.
I met Lucas's mom. She is amazing. She reminds me of my mom. The blonde hair, green eyes. Her personality. I almost started crying. I told her she is a perfect replica of my mom.
I told her I know French, she wanted me to teach her so I started of with basics like

Je suis - I'm or I am
Moi- me
Toi- you
And some others.
She asked if I could help her make dinner. I kindly took her offer. Lucas stood in tj kitchen and watched as we worked.
I hear the door open, a tall, dark haired man stood in the doorway.
"Dads home!" He called out and shut the door
"Caroline. It appears we have another child." The man,who I'm guessing is lucas's dad, says.
"This is Claire Monroe" Caroline introduced me.
"Nice to meet you Claire." Lucas's dad shakes my hand
"She's Lucas's girlfriend" Caroline finished.
His dad dropped my hand and hugged me
"Dad! Your scaring her!!" Lucas groaned. His dad let go of me
"Well, I should be going. Lucas, I'll see you tomorrow" I headed towards the door
"Hold on. Claire. Stay for dinner." His dad stopped me
"Great idea Travis! Ya Claire! How about you stay for dinner." Caroline cheered.
"Uh, if you don't mind" I smiled.
"Not at all! Hailey set the table!!"
