Neighbours: A HICCSTRID Story

20: Date?

ALLY
I was reading in the library when Hayden decided to pop in.
"Hi!" I said.

"Hey Ally." He replied. "Are you doing anything tomorrow afternoon?"

"No, why?"

"Cause I was wondering if you would like to go to the cafe with me after school?"

"What like a date?"

"What? No!- wait, yes. Kind of. Yeah."

"Hah, sure Hayden."

the next day...

"Hey Ally!" Hayden said smiling. "It's Nice to finally hang out together."

"Hi Hayden!" I blushed.

For the next five minutes, we just sat there in silence fiddling with our fingers and sipping our soda, until our food came.

"So, Ally I was wondering if you would like to go to the da-"
Then he just stopped.

"The dah?"

"No! The daa-"

"Hayden!"

"Sorry. The dance. Would you like to go to the dance with me?"

"I would love to Hayden."

When the sun was setting, we went down to the park and sat on the swings and swayed in the wind.
"You know Hayden, I never knew you liked me." I said.

"I didn't know I liked you either. I was just too caught up with everything else to notice I guess." He sat up from the swing and took my hands in his before pulling me up and close to him.

My hands landed on his chest and I could feel his heart beating. My own heart was beating at a thousand miles per hour. I've never been this close to any guys besides my dad so this was all new to me.

"Ever since you moved in next door I couldn't help but notice how beautiful you are. And you suit your name. Well your middle name. Divine Beauty." He smiled.

I blushed and looked down. He took my chin in his hand and brought it up to face his.
He leaned in and gently placed his lips on mine. I was reluctant to do anything because I didn't know what to do in this type of situation. So I just closed my eyes and I eventually found myself kissing back.

But that wasn't even the best part.
When he pulled away, he left his forehead on mine and said the three words that mean so much to people. The most meaningful three words ever.
"I love you."

Before you hate me, I have a long explanation. I really want to get the new book out by next year because schools getting a whole lot busier and we have loads of homework and assignments due the first week back. Cause now it's the last week of school and my parents are away so im staying at my best friend's house (and if you've been a long time reader, you'll know that my best friend is a guy and is my crush.) and so it's so awkward if I try to write  my stories with him around me all the time. So I apologise this is a horrible chapter. And also, im sorry but this is the second last chapter im writing until I post my new book next year. The last one will be the Epilogue of this story. Plus we're also moving houses because the past two years I've had to wake up at 5 to take the bus to school, and I only get home at 5:30 in the evening so we're moving closer, so that's another reason why I'm so rushed. But it's something right? I try to get these out for you guys. Thanks for being here for me all the time. I love you guys so much. And that means something. 😊 thanks for understanding you guys! ❤️
