Dick's Pov

"Another team meeting, Kal?" Artemis strolled into the room yawning in a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt. "I think the kids are going to start getting sick of this."

"We need to do some addressing about last night's mission. It is necessary, whether they like it or not," He replied, crossing his arms over his chest in response. I could tell Art's retort got to him, but hey, the man does what he can. It's been stressful enough not having anything to report on in meetings with Dinah and Bruce.

"I mean, I don't mind, but 8 am? On a Sunday morning?" I smirked at Gar, as he rubbed at his eyes. He walked over, shape shifting into a bird in order to nestle on Art's shoulder. The two of them sat down on the floor.

"Cut him some slack, Garfield," I gave a nod to Conner, as he and M'gann stepped in through the entranceway to the main Hall. I turned to finish setting up the holographic screen, showing the reports of our mission yesterday evening. "Besides, this is one step closer to K."

I didn't say a single word after Conner. I saw Artemis' figure tense up but I didn't dare look over at her directly. It just wasn't worth stirring up questions about the search. In a few minutes, Malcolm, Karen, Cassie, Lagon, and Jaime had joined us.

"Where's everyone else?" Jaime asked, arms stuffed in his pockets. He was the only one that actually looked awake today, which was strange. Missions have been really slow lately.

"Tim will be late," Cassie mumbled, leaning against the wall, and closing her eyes. I figured, considering patrol ran pretty late for him last night. "And Babs just texted me. Said we could start without her."

I nodded to Kaldur. Barb knew everything that needed to be known, she was basically our League liaison. She didn't always need to be here.

"So, are we onto the Light again?" Jaime spoke up, bringing our attention back to the mission.

"It seems we have a lead connected to Luthor," Kaldur pulled up a picture of the company's logo. "This is Lex Luthor's new branch, PRC Inc., otherwise known as the Psychological Recovery Center."

"So do they engineer drugs or something? Seems a little useless for someone like Luthor," Lagon stared at the screen, his eyes squinting skeptically. Typical Lagon.

"That's where our theory comes in," Barb rolled into the room. I was tempted to ask her if she waited for that moment to join the meeting. "This sudden immersion in a clinical branch is a little out of Luthor's range unless he's covering for some type of connection to the Light."

"Which brings us back the previous mission," Kaldur pulled up my report from last night. "Dick and Artemis found an undiscovered lab underneath PRC's Metropolis office. We have a test tube from that lab in Examination in the Tower as we speak. Whether it's of alien orientation or not, we don't know yet."

"This could be our big break, so we're keeping PRC under Team and League surveillance. We now have an additional priority," I stepped up next to Kaldur, reluctance clear in my voice as I continued. "We have no idea what or when the Light intends to inflict on the public, but this new company can be considered a danger."

"Now, moving on, this," Barbra paused to pull up a clip of a man talking to a group of news reporters. "This is PRC's CEO, Mr. Randon Coop."

"That has to be fake," Tim mumbled from the wall across the room. He was wearing civvies and a baseball cap. And boy was someone tired.

"Well, we don't know but we are allowed to be suspicious," I replied. "And for now, he's our main suspect."

"Let me guess, Bats has restricted Beta patrol to Recon missions again," Jaime sighed, crossing his arms and staring at the floor.
