Everyone easily recognized her, April O'Neil. Her fire red hair bobbed as she walked towards Roosevelt high school, innocent casted through her eyes as if she was innocent. But that was far from the truth, her eyes had no guilt towards the life she ruined a long time ago. Peridot Grace Allen, the freak of Roosevelt high school. Yet, she peacefully sat on a bench just outside of the high school. Her hands in her lap folded as if she was a proper woman, her eyelids were hiding her foggy blue eyes, her lime green hair hid under her black hoodie, loud music blared through her ears. She was at peace, she almost thought today would be a different day. No stealing to support her mother and herself, no beatings from other thugs, no people hunting her down. Only because she believed she had a little trick up her sleeve, but as the steps of April O'Neil approached her, Peridot knew that wasn't the case. Peridot cracked her neck left to right before glaring at the red haired girl in front of her,

"Peridot, right?" She asked the girl sitting innocently.

"Get away from me." Peridot yelled, her memories with April flooded through her head, tears were close to pricking her eyes, but she wasn't going to allow that. Not to April O'Neil.

"Listen Peridot," She showed a kind smile, which was only sickening to Peridot, "How about we go somewhere to talk?" She offered, her eyes took a quick glance to the not-so-hidden Foot bots on a roof nearby, then back to the sharp eyes of a foggy blue set.

"I'm not going anywhere with you." Peridot growled back.

"Please Peridot," April pleaded, "I'm trying to help you."

Tears burned in Peridot's eyes, she used those words,

"Get away from me." Peridot hissed, doing her best to not break down in front of the girl who ruined her life. April glanced up once away, the bots had their weapons drawn, their robotic eyes trained on the two females.

"Peridot, you have to listen to me," April's eyes landed back on the girl in front of her, "You're not safe here. You're in danger, you have to trust me." Peridot flinched at her last two words,

trust me

Peridot was done putting her trust into April, the perfect April O'Neil who was better than everyone. April O'Neil who was better than Peridot Allen.

"Get away from me." Peridot spat at her, she was done talking to the girl she once did trust, but that time and now was very different.

Time was running out for April, the turtles wanted the girl to be safe from Shredder's evil ways, as April glanced back at the rooftops, the bots were gone.

"We have to get out of here, now." April grabbed Peridot's upper arm, she yanked the thin girl out of her sitting position and dragged her, with much of a fight, and too the closest manhole. A sharp pain in April's arm made her yelp and retracted her arm from the green haired girl. Her eyes went to the bite mark on her arm.

"Did you bite me!" April screeched and glared at the girl who was smiling slightly. April let out a low growl and grabbed the girl's arm only to push her to the ground. When April heard a whimper from the girl she knew that Peridot would stop fighting back as much. April pulled off the lid to the sewers, her eyes looked at the girl who was breathing heavily. Guilt flashed through April's eyes,

"Look Peridot, I'm sorry. But we need you to be safe." April hesitantly walked over to the girl who was on the ground, "Peridot?" She asked worried at the unmoving body. Peridot whipped around, her eyes almost seeming to leave behind a trail of fog as she moved, in a quick movement, April was the one on the ground under the little bodyweight of Peridot who had a surprising amount of strength.
