Prologue

~~~~~
"Mother there is somebody coming up the drive. I don't recognize the car?" I say from my seat at the window of our secure countryside cottage. My mother-a beautiful woman with light brown doll curls and ocean green eyes- stands and places her leather-bound collection of Shakespeare on the antique oak coffee table. She cautiously glances out the Window.
"Maria, pack a spare change of clothing and your emergency pack, he's coming" she whispers gently pulling me away from the sunny Window seat. I nod and calmly but quickly walk to my large room. I pull out my aged travel case and hastily pack in two spare changes of clothing a fold-down umbrella first aid kit and emergency cell phone as neatly as I can. All the necessities. As I start to shut the bag I glance at my full wall bookshelf. A gift from uncle Mikey. I walk up to it and pull out two books. One an identical copy to the one mother had just been reading. The other a plain red bound journal looking book. I open the red book and pull out the bundle of neatly stacked notes and old aged letter. Contemplating for a moment I carefully placed the money (most of which was from Christmas) and letter into the Shakespeare book and then into the bag. Looks like I'll be leaving for father's a little earlier than expected
