My Opinion:

I haven't been on wattpad for a long time due to exams and general busyness , but a few days ago, with my exams finished and some free time on my hands, I decided to return to my comfort app and read a book. So, I was scrolling through my library like I usually do to find a new book to read and my eyes landed on Storm and Silence. With the 'Story of the year' (2015) award sticker, I thought that this had to be a good one. So, like you do, I clicked on it, read the description, deemed it interesting and began. And boy was I at the beginning of a hellishly beautiful series! The first unique aspect of the book was the time it was set in. Set in the 19th Century, when it is a 'man's world' and women have no power, a young woman is out to change that. It is one of the few books where you don't only fall in love with the sexy man in the book but you also fall in love with the witty, sassy and inspiring female protagonist as well. The sarcasm, the quick wit and the uniqueness of the plot and characters bring the whole story together and literally make you addicted! One second you'll be sitting at the edge of your seat or gripping your phone tightly because of the tension and the very next second you'll be laughing uncontrollably at the humour, and then you'll be aww'ing at everything happening in between. I'm grinning just thinking about it all and it's creeping me out! Storm and Silence is a pretty generous sized book (also available on GoodReads and Radish) and I managed to finish it in about four days - of course leading to sleepless nights, naps in the middle of the night of about two hours with school the next day or general distraction in lessons and family time because I couldn't put the book (or phone in my case) down. I've also managed to reread large chunks of all three books and I'm now eagerly waiting for the third book to be updated. It's an absolutely incredible series and I recommend it to ANYONE with eyes and the ability to read. Please read it (and beware of all panty-dropping characters you may come to acquaint yourself with), leave a comment to let me know if my review was useful, and join the little (or huge - of about 50 million people) fandom of ifrits!
