"Josh,I thought you said this place was secluded."

Josh pulled up to a beach and hopped out of his dads old dodge pickup.

"It is today."

He went around and open Tyler's door,helping Tyler out by his waist.

"What'd'you mean?"

Tyler held Josh's hand as josh led him to the back of the truck.

Josh pulled the tarp off the bed of the truck.

"I mean I rented out a beach for you."

Tyler stared at him blankly.

"You-you-how is that possible?"

Josh laughed. "It's a private beach."
Josh pointed to spacious beach house far off from where they were.

Tyler looked. Then back at josh. Then to the city behind them.

"You spent money on me?" Tyler said without looking at him.

"Just a few hundred bucks."

He looked back at josh and smiled,pulling him into a tight hug.

Josh picked him up with his feet dangling.

Tyler had hugged him back.

"Iloveyouiloveyouiloveyou." Tyler said,repeatedly kissing Josh's cheek.

Tonight was going to be perfect.

It rained.
It rained and it poured and thunder sounded
After 2 hours of sunshine.

Tyler laughed as josh closed the drivers side door.

"Well,I did not expect that." Josh laughed,squeezing rain out of his shirt.

Tyler laughed.

"I'm sorry." Josh apologized,laying his head on the steering wheel.

"Why are you sorry?"

"This was part of your Christmas present."
Josh turned to look at Tyler. "I know you don't like the cold so I brought you to the beach. I got your favorite food;i wanted it to be perfect but I wasn't planning on the storm."

"Babe," Tyler leant across the console and played with Josh's hair.
"It was and is perfect."

Josh smiled.
"How are you so great?"

"It's a gift."

Josh laughed and sat up,leaning against the console.

"Merry Christmas." He whispered and kissed him.

The next day was Christmas Eve and Tyler and his family always opened one gift that night.
Josh and his family never really had plans in Christmas Eve,so he went to Tyler's house with his family.

And josh was nervous.
Tonight he wasn't Tyler's boyfriend,
he was just Tyler's friend.

"Josh,this ones for you." Kelly handed him a box wrapped in red and white striped wrapping paper.

"Oh,y-you didn't have to get me anything."

"Don't worry about it,your practically family now."

Josh smiled and thanked her.

"Okay,you wanna do oldest to youngest." Tyler's Mom asked his Dad.

"Sure."

"Josh,when's your birthday?" Tyler asked.
He'd never thought to ask before.
