While Ezra was asleep Maul strapped him on to a table and tried to enter the force in Ezra's brain. When Maul couldn't find the information he was looking for he grabbed the treatment machine that Alya had Ezra on which he hooked Ezra up to to try to get the truth out of him when he woke up. If Ezra didn't Maul the information he needs then he will get a punishment. Maul made sure that the restraints around his arms were tight, sturdy, and cut off his force ability. When Ezra woke up he saw that he tied up, gagged, was hooked up to a machine, and restrained then he began screaming at the top of his lungs through his gag and struggled to get out of the restraints on his arm.

Maul: Don't struggle my apprentice, you will only make things harder and longer than it needs to be.

Maul then removed Ezra's gag so that he could tell him what he needs to know or he will get punished.

Maul: Now my apprentice you will tell me what I want to know about what you saw.
