                                                            Victor's P.O.V.

"What are you telling me?" I frowned.

"That if we form an alliance we would be able to overpower every other pack, even the council itself, and have them bend to our will," He answered. "We would be unstoppable and would have the power to do whatever we wanted. We could even overtake the human world too."

It's wolves with that mindset that made us go into hiding in the first place. One species does not need that much power and control over the rest of the world.

"And why would I want to ally myself with you?" I asked, crossing my arms and leaning back in my chair as I stared at the other Alpha in front of me.

He started to reply, but a knock at the door cut him off.

"Excuse me for a moment," I muttered, standing up. "One of my pack members must require my assistance. They don't tend to knock on my door unless there's an emergency."

I walked to the door and opened it, making sure that the surprise guest in my office couldn't see who it was at my door.

"Darling," I sighed.

"Hey," She grinned up at me, wrapping her arms around my waist loosely. "What's up?"

"Alpha Luke decided to pay us a surprise visit," I answered in a hushed voice.

"Who?" she asked, her eyes filling up with confusion and her head tilting to the side. "Who is Alpha Luke?"

I moved to the side to open up the doorway to show her, her old Alpha's back. She gasped silently and tensed up.

"Why is he here?" she seethed quietly.

"That's what I'm trying to figure out," I sighed. "And since you're the Alpha Female of this pack now, you should be in on this too. Don't worry, I'll make sure he doesn't touch you what-so-ever. You're mine and I won't let any harm come your way if I have the chance to stop it."

"Alright," she murmured, closing her eyes for a brief moment.

I led her to my chair and sat her in my lap.

"And who is this lovely creature?" he mused, a disgusting smirk on his face.

She is mine!

"She is my mate and the Alpha Female of this pack," I growled.

"I see," he hummed, leaning back in his chair.

He's still looking at Elena. It's making her uncomfortable, and it's making me even angrier.

"You'd best stop looking at me like that before your throat gets ripped out," my Elena muttered, looking away from him angrily. "I wonder who would be the first to harm you if you continue to look at me like that. Me, or my mate?"

"You know, you look exceedingly familiar," Alpha Luke said, staring at my Elena. "Have we previously met somewhere? Perhaps in another life?"

Is that supposed to be some kind of twisted pickup line? Or does he legitimately believe in that?

How pathetic.

Either way, he needs to quit flirting with my mate.

"Why don't you focus on the topic at hand and just tell us why you're here instead of failing at flirting with a mated wolf in front of her mate?" my Elena suggested to him harshly. "That way, we can get done quicker and you can go back to your pack, and away from this one so you don't dirty it up even more than you have already."

"And why do you want to get rid of me so quickly?" he mused.

"I don't like you, I don't like how you run your pack, and I don't like how you're looking at me or how you continue to flirt with me," my Elena answered bluntly causing Alpha Luke to narrow his eyes at her in a glare. "Now, can you stay on topic, or not?! Do you need some help to stay focused on the topic at hand little pup or something? I thought that Alphas were supposed to be good at staying focused and on topic. Are you sure you're even a real Alpha?"

"I will not be spoken to like that by a stupid bi-" he started to growl.

How dare he!

"You forget your place, Alpha Luke!" I snarled at him. "You came to my land, unannounced might I add, asking for my alliance, in which you give no good reason as to why, you openly flirt with my mate, in my presence while she's constantly telling you to stop, and then you have the nerve to try and insult her when she rejects you!? I will not tolerate this. I want you out of my territory, right now."

"As you wish, Alpha Victor," Alpha Luke nodded. "Just don't be surprised if your pack members start getting picked off. One. By. One."

"Are you threatening my pack members?" I bit out, standing up and setting my Elena back in the chair.

"No, I'm declaring war," He laughed soullessly before walking out of the office. "If you are not with me then you are against me, which makes you my enemy."

"That damn bastard!" I roared, punching the nearest wall in my bedroom.

"Victor, please calm down," Elena whispered.

"He's dead," I snapped.

"Calm down, Victor," She repeated, her voice a little bit louder. "You can kill him later. Just calm down, please. Breathe."

"And he's going to die, by my hands, I'll make sure of that," I bit out before walking out of my bedroom.

Luke is going to have an exceedingly slow and painful death. He won't know what hit him until it's too late for him to do anything about it.

Just.

You.

Wait.

Luke.

                                               Luke's P.O.V.

"You useless idiots!" I growled. "It turns out that I didn't need any of you after all. I found her myself."

I grabbed the closest person to me.

"We're... we're sorry, sir," The pathetic dog whimpered. "We... we did our best to... to find her."

"Did I tell you to speak?!" I roared.

"N-no, Alpha," He whispered. "You... you didn't. I'm... I'm sorry, Alpha."

"That's what I thought," I smirked, snapping his neck effortlessly.

I originally went to Victor's pack to gain his alliance to overthrow the council, but I got something better. After over two and a half years of searching, my little, bratty runaway finally shows up.

Marked.

I know just the way to punish her. How would she like it if I kill that precious little mate of hers right in front of her?

She and her pathetic mark will be too weak to be able to resist me or my mark.

"Someone clean up this mess," I barked, walking out of the room with a smug smirk on my face.

They won't know what's coming for them until it's too late.
