"Are you alright, darling?" Victor breathed out, cupping my cheek with his hand softly.

I nodded.

"Yeah, I am. Are you?" I asked, leaning into his warm hand and peering up at him through my eyelashes.

His cheek is bruising slightly.

"I'm fine," He whispered, brushing his lips against my forehead. "Now that I know you and our unborn pup are safe and that bastard will never harm you again."

He won't be able to hurt anyone else either.

"So what are we going to do with them?" I asked, glaring at Dalila's and Luke's unconscious bodies from the corners of my eyes.

"What do you want to do with them?" Victor hummed, bringing me to his chest and wrapping one of his arms around my waist as the other held my head.

"Well, killing them would be too simple; too easy of a way for them to go out with all of the things that they have done," I mumbled. "But the thought of torcher is sickening. So, I guess they should just be killed after all. What do you think, Victor?"

I just want them gone. I don't want them to be able to hurt anyone else ever again. I don't care how, I just want them dead.

"Sounds like a plan," Victor sighed. "I'll go put them in the new cellars. I changed out the cellar guards as well as location. It has newer equipment and better security than the older one. So we have two cellars now that this one's finally finished."

I smiled as I watched Victor drag the two away with ease.

They're never going to harm us, or anyone else, ever again.

"I heard what happened," Danielle breathed, jogging slightly to catch up with me. "Are you alright?"

"Yes, I'm fine," I nodded. "Luke and Dalila have been captured again and they will never see the light of day for the rest of their lives."

"That's wonderful news," she exclaimed. "And how is your pup?"

"Fine, I think. I didn't do much while Victor was fighting Luke, and Dalila never got a chance to get near my stomach," I said, my hands going to my stomach almost instinctively. "Once Victor gets back from the cells we're going to go to the pack doctor together just to make sure, though."

"That is a smart plan," Danielle replied. "Even a high amount of fear or stress could harm the pup."

"Really?" I gasped. "I didn't know that."

Danielle nodded.

"So, any new name ideas for your pup?" she asked.

"No, Victor and I like the name Roman, and we can't think of any suitable female name other than Scarlet," I answered, shaking my head. "What about you?"

"No name ideas so far," Danielle shrugged. "But don't worry. Once they're born, the perfect name for our pups will come to us."

"You think so?" I hummed.

"I know so," she grinned. "I mean, it happened with my firstborn, so who says it won't happen again?"

"True, I guess," I sighed.

"Alpha! Alpha!" a pack doctor exclaimed, running into Victor's office. "We've made a tremendous breakthrough with your mother. We now know what caused her to help ex-Alpha Luke and Dalila escape!"

I hid my face in Victor's shoulder, to conceal my reddening face. I'm currently curled up on Victor's lap as he works on the pack's paperwork.

"And that is?" Victor asked, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"She was somehow exposed to a rare type of plant that causes wolves to practically lose their minds until properly treated," The pack doctor explained. "I... um... I already got the other doctors to start treating her immediately while I went and informed you and your father of the news."

What type of plant would cause that to happen?

"She somehow digested lions mane," the pack doctor informed. "She must have come across it in her travels."

Lions mane? What's that? I'm going to have to look that up later. I'm curious.

"Alright, thank you," Victor nodded.

"Alpha," he bowed slightly. "Alpha Female."

Without another word, the pack doctor walked out of the room and closed the door behind himself.

That was kind of awkward...

"Do you want to go check on your mother?" I suggested.

"Treatment for the lion's mane won't be done for a few hours yet, and my father will be informed as soon as the doctor finds him roaming around somewhere in the pack-house," Victor murmured into my hair.

"I love you, Elena," he whispered. "I love you so much it feels as though I can barely breathe when you're not near me."

"I love you too, Victor," I breathed out. "My spicy cinnamon roll."
