5 || fainted

Dear Ladybug,

I fainted at school today. I'm not sure what happened. I felt fine and then suddenly I didn't.

My doctors are nice. They're running extra tests because I told them I've been ultra clumsy lately. I told them that it was normal but they said it was only for precautions.

I think there's something wrong.
I think it may be serious.

Adrien stared at her writing. He remembered the day clearly. Almost exactly two years ago while they were in tenth grade, Marinette Dupain-Cheng fainted during class. He was so scared. She was talking with Alya and then she crumpled. It was like her limbs suddenly couldn't support her.

He knew that it wasn't normal. Some part of him knew it was serious too, he just didn't want to believe it. Adrien closed his eyes. It was getting late but he couldn't sleep.

All the unsaid things blared in his head. Everything he didn't say to Marinette screamed at him. He didn't sleep that night. Exactly like the night Marinette died.

He knew that exhaustion would plague him tomorrow, he just didn't care. Marinette was dead and he wanted to be.
