Adrien woke up feeling better. It was an odd feeling. He thought he wouldn't be able to feel this way again. He pushed his blonde hair back and rubbed his eyes. He didn't bother changing out of the clothes he was wearing yesterday. He was a mess. Ever since Marinette's death, Adrien felt like he was falling apart.

He thumbed through her broken diary and picked out a random page.

Dear Ladybug,

I feel weak all the time. I'm not in control of my body anymore. The shakiness is getting hard to ignore.

The doctors said it was normal but I know my time is running up. I prayed that it was a nightmare. I prayed that I would wake up.

I never did.

Always,
Marinette.

Adrien saw the shakiness in her writing. He could still read her beautiful script but it wasn't the same as before. He flipped through the pages of the book until he came back where he was supposed to be. Maybe he was supposed to read it in the order she gave it to him. He turned to the next page and was met with an envelope taped to the page. He carefully looked at and flipped the envelope so that the top was still taped to the page but he saw Marinette's neat handwriting under it.

Dear Adrien,

If you're reading this then I'm dead.

I'm sure this is a little overwhelming and probably a bit sad but thank you.

I have a favor to ask of you. Once I die and you receive this journal, I want you to deliver the letters I wrote. They are just like this. Taped to a page with a little note from yours truly.

This is letter is one of many. Sorry, I'm sending you on such a big quest.

This letter is for my parents. When you have the time will you deliver it for me?

Always,
Marinette.

P.S. Thank you.

Adrien quickly took the tape off the page and left his house in a jog to the Dupain-Cheng bakery, which he hadn't been to since the wake.
