Jacob and Y/N runs, but she was too slow and Barron was able to catch up to her. She wanted Jacob to be safe, so she didn't call out for him so he wouldn't look back. Barron holds his axe up to her neck.

"Well, Jake. It seems like she's sacrificed herself for you. What a cute couple you two are!" Barron grins evilly, catching Jacob's attention.

"Leave her alone! What do you want with her?!"

"Let's see. This peculiar here has telekinesis, can see hollows, her eye color changes too!" He laughs before continuing, "And with the addition of wings, she's the perfect key to immortality. I'll just pop you into an extraction chamber, and you probably know what's next. So say goodbye to your sweet Jakey! He has until midday tomorrow before I extract your powers,"

Jacob tried to run after Barron, but he pushed him harshly, which gave him time to run away with Y/N in his grip. She tried to break free. And she did, and tried to lift the boulder next to her to hopefully hit Barron. But she couldn't—and she collapsed after seeing her hands shake and her legs going limp.

Jacob's leg had been slightly injured due to Barron pushing him into a rock, and when he stood up, they were gone.

He ran back to the house and woke everyone up, including Miss Peregrine who was furious for him breaking the rules and mindlessly going out late at night, but not realizing that Y/N had been kidnapped.

Once he gathered everyone downstairs, Enoch angrily stared at him before asking; "Where's Y/N, Jake? She wasn't in our room,"

"Look. I'll explain. Barron is back—"

"Barron? You're hallucinating. He's dead, remember?" Miss Peregrine questions him with one brow quirked up.

"No, he's not! And he's taken Y/N and is planning to extract her powers which could possibly kill her!" He cried, banging his fists on the table.

Everyone's faces were shocked, and scared. Enoch could hardly breathe, Olive and Emma was panicking, and all the children were scared.

"Well? Do you know where he took her?" Miss Peregrine interrogates him, trying to keep calm, but in this situation, no one could stay calm.

"I don't—he knocked me over before I could see them. We have until midday to save her."

"I've dreamt of this last night." Horace steps forward and looks at Jacob and then to Miss Peregrine. "He's on the far side of the island, under an abandoned house."

"Alright children—everyone gather your weapons. We go there at dawn, which is at 4 am." Their headmistress orders as everyone runs back to their room, the older kids were pacing around the house and looking for weapons; knives, axes, and anything they could use.

Enoch, who had a panicked look on his face, was gathering his jar of hearts, and placing them into a wooden box that he would take tomorrow. Olive was helping him.

Emma helped the other kids prepare, and placed the knives and the other weapons on the table so it would be easier for them to grab them at dawn.

Miss Peregrine was talking to Horace about why he hadn't said anything about his dream. Horace said something about he didn't think it would happen and how it seemed too fake.

"It's alright Jake, we're going to save her." Miss Peregrine assures him sweetly.

Jacob didn't know how to feel. He was stood there, emotionlessly staring at the scene unfolding in front of him.
