I think she's flirting with me. I kept staring into her eyes hoping to see that flash of blue again even though I knew there's no way it'll happen.
The boys sat in a comfortable silence drinking their coffees and occasionally Lee would snort at whatever stupid joke I had told, trying and failing to make Ellis laugh.
"You're funny," Ellis finally said stirring more sugar into her coffee.
"Really?!" I asked raising my eyebrows.
"Yes, why?! Do you not think so?"
"You're not laughing at any of my jokes though," I felt my cheeks heat up.
"Oh," she mumbled. "I don't really laugh that much, do I."
She looked up smiling sadly, "Sorry."
I blushed looking down at my hands as I held my mug.
We finished our coffee soon after and stood up to leave, Sammy and I lagging at the back.
"Do you think they'll want to see us again?" I muttered.
He shrugged, "I don't know Rory, I really don't know."
I bit my nail as I shuffled up to walk beside Ellis.
