Chapter 10

Angela P.O.V.

Today was the day I finally get to go on a date with Derek. I called him a few days ago and he said he was going to take me somewhere very special tonight. Rydel just got done fixing my hair and my makeup, I went to the bathroom to get dressed. I didnt know exactly where we were going so I dressed up in a silky gray top, grayish,blackish jeans, and some boots. I ran downstairs to wait for Derek to come pick me up. I sat down on the couch and not too long after that, Ross came and sat next to me.

"Why are you so dressed up?"

I looked over to him and giggled, "Im not THAT dressed up. Anyways, I'm going on a date with Derek."

He chuckled before sitting back. "Right......what is he again? Some brunette country boy who sells cars?"

"For your information Shor, he is a HOT brunette boy who is has an amazing country accent who sold me that awesome beast I got out there in the garage." I said playfully with a sassy attitude.

"Isn't that what I just said?" He said smirking. I slapped his arm playfully. He started laughing. "Make sure he's good to you......or I'll deal with him myself." He said showing off his muscles.

"I'm pretty sure he is. Thanks for the concern." I said hugging him.

"Trust me, you can tell me anything at any time." He told me while hugging back.

Ding dong! I shot off the couch and ran to the door to open it. I opened to see Derek dressed in a blue flannel and dark jeans with some converse.

He looked up at me and smiled, "You ready to go?"

I smiled too, "Yea, just let me grab my purse."

When I went into my room I heard Ross talking to Derek. "Alright be sure to take good care of her and be back by ten or I will come after you. Deal?"

"Yep."

"Alright."

I grabbed my purse and ran downstairs, acting like I didnt hear anything. "Bye Ross." I said walking out the door towards Derek's car.

Ross leaned out the door, "See you at ten!" I waved at him and got in the car, Derek getting in afterwards.

"Where are we going?" I asked looking at Derek and he just grinned,

"It's a surprise." He said before starting the car and pulling out the driveway.

A few minutes later we pulled up to a movie theater. He got out of the car and opened my door for me. He took my hand and helped me out the car, we walked inside and he got tickets to see Endless Love.

Ross P.O.V.

I was pacing back and forth in the living room when Riker came in. "Woah dude. You look like someone is dying, whats wrong?"

I looked at him and sighed, "Angela went on a date with that Derek boy." I plopped down on the couch and ran a hand through my hair.

Riker came over and sat next to me, "You know like you said, she can take care of herself. She'll be fine, you dont have to worry that much."

"Yes I do."

"And why's that?"

"Cause I love her Riker!"

Riker looked at me shocked. "You love Angela? As in the girl our parents adopted?"

I sighed again, "Yes her and she's not related biologically so I dont really see the harm in that."
