Chapter 26

Ang P.O.V.

I woke up to my phone going off, like a lot. I grabbed my phone to see messages from almost everyone in the family.

Rydel: Where did you and Ross go to all of a sudden?

Rocky: Hey Ang, where u and my bro go?

Ell: Where'd u go, just disappeared out of nowhere

Mama Lynch: Hey Sweetie, can you plz come back with Ross? Tell him I'm sorry about what happened.

Riker: Ang, tell Ross that I talked to mom and dad. They want to talk to you two about the whole marriage thing, they promised not to yell. I'm sorry for doing nothing in the first place. :(

I sighed and looked at Ross who was still sound asleep. I sighed and gave him a light kiss on the cheek before getting out of bed. I'm sure he was super tired from yesterday so I decided to let him sleep in. I walked into the kitchen to see Joanna sitting at the island, drinking coffee and reading something on her laptop. I leaned against the side of it and she looked up and smiled.

"Did you sleep well?" She asked, still smiling.

"Yeah, especially since I know all of this is over. I feel like it's the first time I slept since this started."

"Well, now you don't have to worry about that anymore, do you?" She said. She got up and walked over to one of her cabinets, it had like a glass window to where you could see what was in it. "Coffee?" She offered.

I nodded my head as she gave me a cup, she put creamer and sugar in it. Just how I always drink it. "Thanks." I said smiling at her and taking a sip. I took a look around her house from where I was. "You have a really nice house." I complimented.

"Thank you, I knew that soon I wouldn't be working with Steve so I took the money that the agency I actually worked at gave me and got this right before you were ever assigned the target."

"Well, it looks great." I said smiling again, but then it dropped. "Joanna, what am I going to do? I really want to marry Ross, but his parents don't want us together like that. After what they found out yesterday, they probably don't want me around their family at all."

She sighed, "Honey, things will work out just fine. I mean, what you did yesterday, saved their lives. His parents will eventually let you two together and you will live happily ever after."

"Yea, but the whole foster/adoption thing. He is technically my......brother."

"Well you are almost 18, so you wouldn't need to actually be adopted. You're close enough to where you could live on your own."

"Where would I live though? I have no money to buy me a new place and I'm pretty sure if we were to get married, his parents wouldn't want us living there. Once I get married, I want to be able to have a family and I don't want to bother Stormie and Mark with another kid in their lives while I live at their house."

"Isn't Angel and Riker having a baby soon?" She asked.

"Well yeah, but Angel has a place and Riker can just move in there. I have nothing, plus Ross will be too busy with his career to even think of having a child." I sighed sadly.

"Oh, honey he will eventually want a kid in his life. And as for the house thing, you don't need to worry about that. There is a house for sale down the road. I'll pay for it and give you the money your parents left you."

I froze,  "They left me money? Well, what about Mia?"

"You both have money. A lot of it in fact, your parents were rich and in their will they left each of you at least a million dollars." She said happily.

"Why, I'm speechless.........this is amazing! Oh, I have to get Ross up. His parents really want to talk to him." I said, drinking the rest of my coffee and heading upstairs.

I ran upstairs and into the room to see Ross still sound asleep. I shook him a little, "Baby, come on. We have to go talk to your parents."

He shook his head, "No, they will just talk about how stupid I am for falling in love with you."

"Well, do you think you are stupid for falling in love with me?" I asked kind of hurt.

He widened his eyes, "No baby, I dont think falling for you was stupid at all. I truly love you and think we should be together." He hugged me tightly. "I just don't want anyone to get in the way of our relationship."

"Riker texted and said he talked to your parents, they are ready to talk and your mom said she wants you back home. She promised she wouldn't yell at you." I said, kissing him softly.

"Okay I guess we'll walk there." He said throwing his shirt back on.

I shrugged my shoulders as we headed out. Joanna told us that if we need anything, just call. On our way there, I told Ross about the will and the house Joanna told me about. He was super happy that we could get the house together, if we liked it. I was still worried he wouldn't want any kids in our life. I had this feeling that even if we do have kids, something terrible would happen.

Ross looked at me as we walked, "Baby, is something wrong?"

I crossed my arms over my chest, "Its just that.....what if this isnt over? Steve might be dead, but I still have this feeling that somehow he will get what he wants."

He stopped, "Hey" he lifted up my chin with his finger, revealing the tears that fell. "It's over now, nothing bad will ever happen again. I won't let it happen, I won't let anything happen to you. I would die before anyone hurt you."

"You don't mean that..."

"Yes I do! I love you with all of my heart and nothing can ever change that. That's why I want to marry you, you're the love of my life and I would do anything to make you happy." He leaned down and kissed me passionately.

We pulled back and continued to walk to his parents' house. We arrived there in less than five minutes and we walked to the front door. He hesitated, "I don't know if I want to do this. What if they try to pull us apart?"

"Remember what you said Ross, nothing will ever change how we feel. We have to do this."

I grabbed ahold of his hand as we walked into the house. Stormie immediately looked over before running over to us, wrapping us in a big hug. "Oh gosh, I was so worried about you. Come on, take a seat."

We went over and sat on the couch that was torn up from the fight. Mark sat on the remainder of the coffee table in front of us. Stormie just stood beside him.

Mark sighed before speaking, "Riker told us everything. He told us how Ang got in a wreck and disappeared from the hospital for a while, trying to protect you all from what happened, then how Ross got really sick and wouldn't eat anything until she came back, and how Ang did come back to protect you again from said reason, all about Ang's past and her sister. Basically all about this crazy stuff that happened in the one month we were gone. Ang, before you think we hate you, we don't blame you at all. None of this was your fault and I'm very happy you did what you could to protect our kids."

"Very happy, grateful actually." Stormie agreed.

"Anyway," Mark continued, "We found out about how those adoption papers turned out to be fake so.....you are able to be with Ross."

My eyes widened in excitement, so did Ross'. "Really?!" Ross asked smiling from ear to ear.

"Yes, but that doesn't mean you're not a part of this family Ang. You can talk to me when ever you need to." Stormie smiled.

"Thank you guys." I got up and hugged them both.

This was really starting to turn into a good ending after all.
