Back To "Normal" [Chapter 10]

Two Years Later

Mark's POV

This is going to be an amazing night... I say to myself as I fix my Irish green tie and my blood red hair,

"Come on Jack! We're going to be late!" I yell as I look at my phone screen showing the time 5:10pm,

"I'm coming!" I hear my boyfriend for two years yell in response. While I'm waiting very patiently for Jack to get ready my eyes start to wonder to the cute little pink moustache sitting on the coffee table next to me. I immediately have a flashback to the day Jack gave me that present which I remember like it was only yesterday.

Five Months Ago

Mark's POV

"Agh what shall we do today Jack!? I wine as I play with his green hair while I cuddle him closely,

"We should go to the beach with Steve!" Jack says with a big shimmering smile painted across his face,

"But Jackaboyyyy I'm shit scared of the ocean!" I complain,

"Come on Mark don't be a wuss!" Jack replies playfully punching my arm "I'll protect you anyway!"

"Okayyy! but don't except me to get into the water!"

"I wouldn't ask that of you Markimoo!" Jack says as he gets up out of my grasp so he can get ready,

"I don't want to lose this! I better leave it here" Jack says with a slight tone of sadness in his voice as he takes off his promise ring I gave him 18 months ago,

"Good idea!" I reply doing the same and following Jack out the door.

Mark's POV

When we get to the beach that is a couple of miles away from campus, I get out of Jack's car and take in my surroundings. The smell of salt and sand full my nostrils as the scorching sun beams down on my head,

"Not one cloud in sight!" I say when Jack has exited the car,

"Isn't it beautiful!"

"Not as beautiful as you!" I reply earning a giggle from Jack,

"Come on you loveable hunk" Jack says grabbing my hand and pulling me to to the sandy shore that awaits us. The feeling of sand between my tanned toes gives me instant anxiety, I start to shake a small bit as the crashing waves get closer and closer to me and my love. Jack must of sensed it as he pulled me to a stop and squeezed my big hand harder easing my anxiousness,

"You have nothing to fear baby I'm going to be right besides you the whole time" Jack says until he pauses for a quick second as he checks his phone, "and Steve is going to be here any minute now!"

"I love you so much" I reply as tears of joy full my vision until all I can see is Jack's blurred face staring right back at me " I'm so lucky to have you in me life"

"Shh you! You're going to make me cry soon!" Jack replies pulling my muscular frame into a hug "I love you so much more!"

"You wanna bet!" I say with a grin appearing on my face,
