~~Cassidy's Point of View~~

It had been almost a month since the alter service. We had gone to the Harrow's house every Friday night and we ate lunch with them every Sunday for lunch. Bowen was even better every time I saw him. It made me really happy seeing how he was recovering. He told me he would still have panic attacks almost every night but they weren't as bad. He was back to his old self.

I had the Bowen I knew and loved back. That word. Love. I didn't love Bowen, I knew that much. Love was something that took time to develop and just because you had feelings for someone didn't mean you loved them. I had decided on something...

I liked Bowen Davis. That was extremely obvious to me now. Every time I was near him my heart just decided to skip a beat. I had noticed that when he was with me that he would get kinda flustered. Did he like me back?

I really hoped so. Bowen was a great person. He was kind and sweet and smart and strong and he loved God. That was all I could ask for in a person.

"Cassidy!" I heard from the other room.

"I'm coming! Sorry!!" I grabbed my phone and jumped off of my bed. It was another Friday night, and we were going back to the Harrow house. I ran and got into my dads truck. The ride over was silent tonight. No one spoke, so I just read my book. At the end of the 34th chapter we arrived. I quickly jumped out, ready to see Bowen and Saige.

As soon as we crossed the threshold of the house, the two of them came down the stairs.

"Hey Cass!" They both said in unison.

I laughed, "Have y'all been practicing?" A guilty smile crossed Bowen's face and I laughed again. Saige came over and I enveloped her in a hug. Bowen walked over to the table to get our chairs so we could sit in the other room while the adults talked.

"I think Jimmy is almost done with the ribs and barbecue," Bowen said when I walked in the smaller room next to the kitchen.

"Ohhh barbecue...sounds good!" I commented, grabbing a bag of plates and cups from him. He smiled, his dark eyes flashing.

Darn he was cute.

By the time I had put all of the stuff on the table, Mr. Jimmy had come in and was sitting the ribs and BBQ on the counter.

"Blessing?" Mrs. Maggie asked, shooting my dad an evil look as he took a quick bite of a rib. "I think you should do it Lenard."

Mr. Jimmy laughed as my dad began the blessing.

"Amen," we all said in unison when the prayer ended. "Now lets dig in!"

The parents grabbed their food first as the kids stood back, eager to put some food in our stomaches. When the adults were finally out of the way (gosh they were so slow), the kids finally got food.

Bowen went first, then Saige, then me. I got a huge plate of barbecue, one rib, and a brownie. I walked back to the smaller dinning room where Saige and Bowen were already sitting. I sat directly across from Bowen, Saige to my left.

We chatted for about twenty minutes, and about five plates between the three of us. Two for me and two for Bowen. Saige hardly ate half of hers.

"You ok?" I asked her.

"Haven't felt great today..." She said, voice low.

In the next second Mr. Jimmy walked back in. Saige was pushing her food around on the plate. "Saige finishing eating."

"Is it ok if I don't finish the rest? I don't really-"

"I said eat it," he said, voice rising. There was a sudden anger in his voice.
