Life is better to be experienced in the moment, and not caught for later. Dan learned this the hard way.
Dan moved the day after the meet up in the coffee shop, but Phil had a lot of things to take care of first. Moving cannot just be spontaneous. But neverthelesshe made it there happily.
They live together happily now in a small house, and Dan has kept to his promise of not using the camera. Phil has recovered mostly from the event of that summer, but it's all behind them now.
And they plan to get married in another year.
