Many stories don't have happy endings. Sometimes they end when everyone dies. Sometimes they leave you on the edge, making you want, no crave, for a happy ending.
I believed my story ended there. With me and Ayato on the couch relaxing, as our sons slept in the room in the hallways.
Little did I know however, happy endings don't come so easily.
The boys grew into the clothes they were given; which was much to big at the time. Ayato had a stable job, the boys came back with straight As in school. Everything was perfectly normal.
Life was so normal that I forgot my previous one. And when I was forced to sit down and face reality, I only realized one thing.
No one leaves the Aogiri alive.
