**Marie’s P.O.V.**
On the busride home I sit with Jessica and Olivia. Diane takes a different bus home. “So what’s up with you and Elle?” Jess jumps on me.
“Nothing.” I answer.
Diane not there to stop them, Olivia and Jessica question me mercilessly. I don’t tell them anything. My phone buzzes with a message from Elianna.
If my parents ask, I’m at the library. Don’t worry, don’t call Joseph, I’m fine. Love Elli.
My heart freezes. If she’s not at home and not at the library, WHERE IS SHE! Before the girls can demand what’s going on or take my phone, I got off the bus. Fear blurring my vision, I punch a very familiar set of numbers into my cell.
“Hey Marie.”
“Joseph! We have a problem!”
