"You have no idea who I am!"

"Sir, I'm just doing my job", the guard sighs.

It's been twenty minutes of my father and the guard of the prison arguing over being able to see Jason. I huff frustrated with everything, today legit seems like everything in the universe is getting in my way from seeing the father of my baby.

Suddenly, a tall skinny dark skinned man barges through the door walking towards us. He's suited in black and grey wearing dark sunglasses. A briefcase securely clutched in his hand.

"Mr. Curry, I'm Jason McCann's lawyer", he firmly presents himself a blank look on his face as he beams at the guard.

"Since when?", the guard raises a brow.

"Since now.. now step away or I'll have no problem to report you to your superior which may I say is my wife", Mr. Curry raises an intimidating brow removing his dark sunglasses.

A smile forms on my lips, staring at my father who has a taunting smirk plastered on his face glancing at the guard who's quivering as we speak.

"This is all just a misunderstanding.. no need for such a thing sir", the guard half smiles nervously responding to Mr. Curry and my father.

"Give this young lady a pass.. she's McCann's wife and has the right to see him", Mr. Curry demands glancing at me.

"Sure will", the guard says grinning handing me a sticker which I stick on my shirt.

"Told you I'm not the one to mess with pathetic minimum wage prison guard", my father spat.

Some things won't ever change

"Ben!", my mother murmurs a disapproving look on her face squinting her green eyes at him.

My father's intimidating face instantly softens as his dark brown eyes meet my mother's. He steps next to her like a good boy.

Now that that little drama is out of the way, it's time to finally see Jason.

"Here's the room he should be seated in... you go in first then after I will alright", Mr. Curry says stepping to the side.

I take in a deep breathe exhaling it out slowly due to my nerves going wild, yet happy to get to see him. I place my hand on my belly and suddenly feel strength of some sort helping me step inside the room.

There stood a seated Jason looking so pale looking down to the floor. My heart drops to my stomach seeing him so drained out from his healthy color, I'm so used to seeing all the time, but now it's gone.

"Babe!", my voice cracks sprinting towards the glass window that's between Jason and I placing my hand on it.
