"Jason didn't murder Alessandra!", I hiss.
"The neighbors saw a him running out of the house when a scream was heard," my dad roars his veins popping out from his neck from how angry he is.
"Don't yell at her," Jason snaps losing his patience.

The cell door slams reminding me of how I'm back in this dreadful cage known as prison. However, I must say I'm not too bumped about it knowing Aleysa and my unborn child are now safe away from harm. Even though, I wish to be by her side to comfort her after all she did take someone's life away. I can only imagine what she's feeling at this moment. She needs me.
"Welcome back McCann!", one of the pigs smirk as he walks by my cell.
I roll my eyes at him not bothering to say anything back knowing they'll only punish me as soon as they can.

I take my shirt off throwing it to the ground ready to waste my day. I already know I'm going to face life, so why give myself any hope. That's the worst thing you can to any mate is give them hope when they're the most wanted criminal in New York.
Just as I was about to throw myself on the 1 inch rotten mattress, an irritating noise is heard repeatedly knocking on my cell bars. I turn my attention towards the cell door seeing one of the prison guards standing there with a baton in their hand.
"Your court date is today let's go!", the guard sternly says inserting his key into the lock.
I casually walk out of my cell facing the wall with my hands behind my head waiting for the guard to hand cuff me which he does. We then make our way out of the unit and into a bright hallway into a room immediately coming into eye contact with those dark brown eyes I didn't expect to see today.
Aleysa's pov
As soon as the door bursts open. My eyes lock with Jason's light brown hazel ones. It's as if the whole world shut out as we both stare deeply into each other screaming, I love you to one another through gazes.
My heart beats uncontrollably at the sight of him while butterflies swirl in my stomach. If only I could just run towards him and wrap my arms around him never letting him go. It's been forever since him and I have shared a private moment with each other.
I warily watch as Jason walks over to his seat with Mr. Curry who's already sitting down, a handful of files in his hands ready to fight for Jason's freedom. An elderly man with white hair and beard dressed in a black gown enters from the back door, I'm guessing he's the judge. He takes a seat as he views the folder in front of his desk.
My parents, Jacky, Isaac, Rex, and Tiny are all present ready to be called upon to give their testimonies in order to proof Jason's innocence. I rub my stomach as a way to calm myself down even though Mr. Curry has reassured me that everything is looking good for Jason, I still can't help, but feel nervous.
