The Flow:
I have nothing to say about your writing skills, the cross between a poem and a narrative made it easy to read, so rhythmic and in sync. I myself, love, love, love reading and writing poetry, it is remarkable how you combined the two and managed to highlight the underpinning theme. I'm still trying to figure out the right word to describe the theme and the overall message, I could pinpoint so many: Family, insecurity, artificiality, expectation, beauty, love, neglect, abandonment, loneliness. Omg, it's never ending. I didn't want it to end. This piece of writing, this message you've expertly portrayed, reaches out to everyone with a broken home, with children who have been neglected and strive to adapt to the norms of society, to the notion of beauty and what it entails. To the fact that every human being constantly struggles with this idea that they're not good enough, or what they have to offer doesn't amount to the standard expectation. Everything about this story resonated with me. Everything about Dolly, hit a nerve. I went through this emotional rollercoaster of wanting to save her from this turmoil no one should live at such a young age. Sigh. Why are mothers nowadays so involved with things other than their children? What happened to fathers being role models and significant figures to them? What has this world come to when divorces happen more than marriages? Why are kids committing suicide and those around them are failing to recognize the detrimental experiences that have led them up to that? Why is love so hard to find and so hard to give? Why are we not enough? We can only do so much. Thank you, for applying, this was mentally challenging. It revived my mind to remember the issues young adolescence unfortunately face today. Heart wrenching, but still an amazing piece of writing.

Characters who resonated with me:
Dolly: :( the name itself sums up the entire message. When we think or we come across a Doll, it's perfect. From their intricately designed features to their frame and disposition. The idea of her conforming and trying to meet her mothers expectations, even though she was uncomfortable under her own skin, just to seek an ounce of love from her mother... broke my heart! Honestly! She's so fragile and innocent. This neglect has tainted her and shattered her into pieces. I could tell as I read through every chapter, how she was gradually sinking into oblivion. You've mastered the development her character by using a small portion of words. Amazing job.

Rank: 10/10 - adding it to my 'out of this world' reads. Thank you
