(Y/n) POV

Only three more hours till my date with Chanyeol. I text him my address so he knows where to pick me up. While I dress, the scars on my back send shooting pain throughout my body. Just another reminder...

I choose a white t-shirt with an army green jacket, ripped jeans, and small boot heels. (Pic above) I don't know whether or not to dress up, so I go with something cute and casual.

My eyes have been acting up from allergy season, so I don't wear any makeup. I grab my bag and walk down the stairs.

"Hey, (y/n)! Wear are you going?" My grandpa asks me from the couch.

"Just going out on a date." I reply.

"Ooh! Who with?" Gram walks from the kitchen with an apron around her waist.

"Just someone I met."

"That really narrows down the options," my Gram chuckles.

I sigh, "I'll tell you who it is if it works out tonight, okay?" I push my hair out of my eyes.

"Alright, just be home at a reasonable hour! You need to function tomorrow." Gramps yells from the living room.

"Of course." I yell on my way out onto the porch.

Chanyeol arrives on time, and gets out of his BMW.

His car is sleek and black, perfectly washed, and looks very expensive. He struts out of the car and pulls off his sunglasses.

"Are you ready for a night of fun?" He smiles.

He runs up to me and swoops his arm through mine, leading me to the car. He opens the door for me, and allows me to get in.

The car smells nice, and is just as clean on the inside as it is on the outside.

"You're car is really nice," I comment while buckling my seatbelt.

"Thanks, I just got it." He laughs. My eyes widen.

"Do you like roller coasters?" He asks.

"Uh, yeah I guess why?"

"No reason."

We drive down the streets of Seoul, listening to music, and having casual conversations. Turns out, he's a sensitive guy, and sometimes can be an airhead.

We arrive at an amusement park, figures, since he asked me if I like roller coasters. I get out of the car and immediately smell cotton candy and funnel cakes. The park sits by a lake, which allows a breeze to break through the warm day. I decide to leave my jacket in the car, since it's so warm.

As soon as we get in, Chanyeol rushes me through all the rides. We scream on roller coasters, laugh on spiny rides, and thankfully don't throw up. We also go to small booths placed around. There is a game that requires you to shoot water at a target and whoever shoots the target faster wins.

"Did you want to play that one?" He points at the colorful booth.

"You're on."

He pays for the game, and I watch as the screen counts down from 10. As soon as it hit zero, we're off and shooting at the target. Let's just say that I may or may not have cheated, and "bumped " his water gun, but I still would've won.

"You definitely cheated." He accused.

I avert my eyes, "I most definitely did not cheat. (L/n)s don't cheat. It's a family code."

He sighs, and we walk to the boardwalk that stretches out onto the lake. It's getting dark, and the sun is almost completely set. The breeze is cold from off the lake, and I shiver.

"Have my jacket," Chanyeol places his leather jacket around my shoulders. The warmth engulfs me and I stop shivering.

"Thanks," I mutter. We stop at the end of the boardwalk and sit on the edge. Surprisingly, no one is here other than an older couple, probably celebrating their anniversary.

"This lake is beautiful." I whisper.

"Yeah, it is." Chanyeol agrees. I turn to see him staring at me, but quickly look away, blushing.

"Did you ever think that maybe it was fate, you being my supposed make-up artist?" He pushes a piece of hair behind my ear to expose my blushing face.

"I don't know, I guess. Do you ever think like that?" I place my shoes beside me and kick my feet around in the water.

"Sometimes." He does the same with his shoes.

The water is ice-cold, and the blue, staccato waves crash on my ankles, numbing the slight pain on my back.

"Thanks for bringing me tonight, it was a lot of fun." I tell him.

"We could do it again." He says.

"Yeah? When?" I blush.

"I could text you whenever I'm free. If that's okay with you-"

"Yeah that's fine." I tell him.

He places his hand on my arm, but I flinch away.

"I'm sorry." He pulls back.

"No it's fine. It's not you...it's me."

"What do you me-"

"It's getting late." I cut him off, changing the subject.

"Right. We should go."

We walk back to the park and I head to the bathroom before we leave.

Chanyeol' POV

As (y/n) goes into the restroom, my phone rings .

"Hey, how's the date going?" Its Baekyhun

"Good. Baek, I don't know if I can do this."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't want to hurt her."

"Chan, you lost a bet, remember."

"I know. But, I just-"

"I know. But there's no exceptions. Just don't get too close and it won't hurt her."

"You don't know that." I say.

"Just, try not to get too involved."

"I've got to go," I say as (y/n) comes out of the bathroom.

I hang up the phone and hurriedly put it in my pocket.

"You ready?" She asks me. I nod.
