A week after the funeral and no one has been the same. My Gram barely comes out of her room, and I have been running the store everyday by myself. I haven't seen Chanyeol at all because of our busy schedules, and I swear I'm about to break at any moment.

I've been thinking about selling the store because we just can't handle it anymore. And as much as I don't want to be selfish, I don't want to run the store for the rest of my life. I decide to ask Gram today about it and see what she thinks. She's run that things most of her life, so I won't be surprised if she is angry about my proposal.

I lightly knock on the door and walk into her room cautiously.

"Gram? Are you okay?" I call out to her.

"I'm over here, (y/n)." I see her standing by the window, looking out through a small slit between the heavy curtains. I walk to her side and look out with her, trying to see what she's looking at.

"What did you need sweetie?" She turns to look at me.

"Gram, I needed to talk to you about the store. With Gramps gone, it's getting really hard to run it, so I was thinking-" she cuts me off.

"(y/n) help me over to the chair, I need to tell you something important." I help her over to the chair in the corner of the room and sit her down. She motions for me to sit on the ground by her and I do.

"When your grandfather and I first got married, we bought that store with the money we had saved to go to college. You see, our parents weren't very happy with us getting married at such a young age, but we didn't care. We were so in love that we left our families and futures behind to be together. Anyway, we built that store up with our bare hands, it started off as an old bakery, but we refined it into a store. You grandfather and I were so proud of that store.

"Gram, what does this have to do-" she stops me again.

"What it means, (y/n) is that we told each other that the only way we were able to be successful was to leave everything else behind us. And that's exactly what you need to do."

"Gram...you mean it's okay if I sell the store?"

"Honey, I won't be around for much longer. Your grandfather and I weren't meant to be away from each other this long. It's time I go to see him."

"Gram. No, pleas don't leave me, I've already lost Gramps, I can't lose you too...I need you," I grab her hand, pleading.

"(y/n), you can't stop destiny," she says, "and besides, there's someone already ready to take our place."

I close my eyes and let a single tear fall from my face.

"I know hat you will be okay, and that you know what is right. I love you so much, (y/n), please never forget that," she lifts up my chin and gives my a kiss on the cheek.

"I love you too."

The next day, I admitted Gram into the hospital. I found her in her room, lying on her bed peacefully. However, when I tried to wake her up, she wouldn't. I knew that this was coming from what she told me last night, but that doesn't make it any less hard.

Chanyeol is there once again, holding my hand firmly as the doctor gives me the news. In a few days is the funeral and then she is placed in the ground right beside Gramps. Tears drench the top of my shirt as she is lowered into the ground. With each shovelful of dirt, I look away.

As her casket is fully covered I hear a screech from the air. And when I look up into the blue sky, two eagles soar in a circle together, ascending into the great unknown.

The next day, I wake up and call the contracting company. I sign off the store to a different company, and then call Chanyeol to meet me there.

Within fifteen minutes, he's standing in front of the store with me, watching as all the lights turn off on the inside.

"You know, they had this store for over 50 years..." I tell him.

He puts an arm around my waist and pulls me closer.

"Really?" He says, intrigued.

"Yeah." I state. He turns me around to face him. I look up into his dark brown eyes that have been covered with blue contacts today, but, if I look close enough, I can see the brown rim around the outside.

"Do you want to live with me?" he asks.

I am taken aback at his sudden question and my eyes grow into saucers, "Chanyeol, we aren't even married..."

"That doesn't matter. People who aren't married live together all the time." He chuckles.

"I know, but if I'm going to get my first place with a man, I want to do it right..."

He smirks, "Well then, let's get married."
