I finish my sandwich and leave the rest for when I'm hungry later. I'm so excited to see Miles. Ahhh!

"Whatcha thinking about?" Heather asks finishing her salad and disposing the trash. Her black hair is tied into a French braid and goes to the side with a hippie band lookin' thing with it.

"To see Miles, he's been in Missouri visiting his family for what seems like forever." I complain and she laughs.

"Want to hang out tomorrow?" She asks and I nod my head. "Your house or mine?" She asks and I sigh.

"I need to get out of the house. Dads always bringing business buddies over and I have to attend to the dinners." I say and crumple a bag. "I don't know how many 'be a good girl' more nights I can have." I admit and she laughs.

"Next dinner, just say that you planned a dinner with my family. Moms always asking when you'll be over for supper." She laughs and I shake my head.

"Your mom use to hate me at first. The only reason your dad let me hang out with you was because I like football." I say and she rolls her eyes.

"Dad just loves football. Mom thought she heard you say something bad, but you said something else. I had to literally convince her that you're a good kid." She sighs slumping back against her seat.

"Least you don't anymore." I assure her and she smiles.

"So, how was tutoring?" She wags her eyebrows at me.

"Interesting." I say and look over my shoulder at Kemo who is laughing at something Jacob said. As if he knew I was looking at him, his head turns toward me. I look away and turn back to Heather. "Kemo and Amos don't get along and they were both at my house last night. Daniel is absolutely obsessed with Kemo, like his Kanye West obsession, obsessed. He started crying when he left." I say and she laughs.

"Miles does not like Amos either. Amos is cute, but he's a player." She she's and we turn toward Amos.

"He's sweet though and he's like my best friend." I sighs and she rolls her eyes.

"You think everyone's your best friend." She smirks and I roll my eyes.

"You, Clay, Miles, and Amos. You guys are my besties." I say and she smiles. "Anyway, what are we doing tomorrow then?" I asks as I play with my hair.

"I want to make donuts." When she says the word donuts she catches my attention.

"Careful with that word!" I scold her and she busts up laughing. I love donuts, donuts and my truck. Those two own my heart, there is not much room for more. It's all taken.

"Anyway, I watched a video on how to make them and I want to make some." She says and I nod my head happily. I feel like a child, so happy over the littlest things.
