"I am a man of fortune, so I must seek my fortune."

My parents looked at me, whilst holding a gun to Renesme's head.

"You failed your first solo case, so we've had to come and clean up what you didn't succeed in doing." My dad spat harshly at me. I looked over to Renesme who was trembling.

"Just let her go and we can talk about this." I asked, calmly. My mother gave a shrill laugh.

"Do you not remember what you came here to do?" She and my father glared at me.

"I don't want to anymore. I've spent the past four days with this family and Renesme poses no threat. Please let her go." I pleaded. My parents exchanged a look. My mum released Renesme, and she ran over to Edward and Bella. Dad pointed his gun at me.

"Hey, we don't need anyone hurt here today. Please just leave." Carlisle spoke up, slowly walking over to me. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest. Was this it? Was I to die here? No- I couldn't let that happen. My father looked between me and Carlisle, where there was little space between us and burst out laughing.

"Are you serious? You!" He dropped his arm to his side and turned to my mum. If I could even call her that.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"This man has found his mate." 'Dad' gestured to me. Honestly, I didn't see why there was a big fuss. So what? I blocked my mind from Edward, by inwardly singing 'Bohemian Rhapsody' by Queen. I looked back at him and he was frowning. 'Sorry Edward, your self-righteousness will stop me from doing something wrong' I thought. His face, softened, getting what I was meaning. I didn't notice it, but Alicia had already walked in, holding a gun, which was pointed at 'dad.'

"Alicia Cole White what are you doing." Alicia only smiled.

"She's imprinted on someone..." Edward said. I was dumbfounded.

"H-How? You're a werewolf?" I muttered. Man was my life getting jacked up or what.

"I found out two days ago." She filled me in. I nodded. "And yes, I have imprinted on someone. They are friends with the Cullen's, and if we kill Renesme, they will be devastated." Alicia spoke calmly.

"Alicia, I'm glad that you're on my side, but let's just talk things through first. No one has to get killed." I said, putting my hands out, warning them not to start a bloodbath.

"Jacob, get Renesme out of here. It's most likely going to get messy in here." Alicia said,many Jacob picked up a trembling Renesme bridal style and carried her out through the back door.

"Eli, you should get outta here as well. You could get hurt." Alicia pleaded, her eyes telling me that she may not make it. I shook my head, but she looked at Carlisle and he nodded. He took a step towards me, and my guard was instantly up.

"Touch me and I will drop you." I warned. His face saddened. He didn't want to see me hurt, I understood that, but I had to stand up for myself. Plus I wouldn't leave Alicia against my parents.

"You're going to get us all killed." My 'father' spat at Alicia.

"Nope just you." She said, as she pulled the trigger and shot him. But the unfortunate thing was, he pulled his trigger at the same time. Alicia's bullet his dad in the head, but his bullet hit her in the stomach. They both fell over and I was too preoccupied worrying about Alicia to notice that mother dearest had attempted to shoot me. Carlisle ,using his vampire speed, picked me up and moved me, just in time. The bullet hit and went straight through a house plant that was nearby. 'Mum' tried to run, but as she stepped outside, she was instantly attacked by a wolf. It was a rustic colour and soon jasper and Emmett followed hot in pursuit. I didn't care, I crawled over to Alicia who seemed to be bleeding out slowly.

"Alicia!" I cried, taking off my flannel shirt and applied pressure to the wound. She looked up at me and smiled.

"That was fun." She croaked. She lifted my bloody hand off her stomach and I was in shock. The wound was slowly healing itself.

"That's amazing." Carlisle whispered. Before I knew quite what was happening, I was flying into a wall. I hit my back and fell to the ground. Looking up I saw a very passed off Jacob.
